Value for money, but breakfast selection was very limited.

The room and grounds are fine and quite clean. The location is good for some fun in the ocean waves and nice long walks along the beach at the sunset. The hotel is indeed away from the hustle of Kuta and Legian which we found very nice, but on the other hand you get no alternatives in case you don´t want to have food in the hotel everyday, it was not an issue for us as we are not fussy and we only stayed for 4 nights, but I can imagine the selection might seem boring after that time. There were only two things that seriously annoyed me in this hotel. One - fellow tourists who felt the need to put their towels on the beach beds every single morning, but would not use them until around lunchtime - although I do admit if the hotel and restaurant get full there are definitely not enough beach beds for everybody and if you happen to arrive in the afternoon you will not find a bed and staff will not help you to find one either. The second thing - stray dogs and cats wandering the grounds - I love animals, but seeing couple of not very healthy looking dogs (and cats) constantly begging for food or attention every day and at every meal is definitely too much for me. I think the hotel needs to decide whether they want to have the animals around and spend some money on veterinary treatmens or not have the animals around. Some people feel sorry for the animals, others are annoyed, but either way the current set-up just doesn´t feel right.

Overall the Hotel was fantastic. The service was at very high standards however the location was not what we were informed. It is a minimum half hour taxi ride to restuarants, shops and also main strip of seminyak/legian. Hotel is not in walking distance to basic ammenities. Great location for those who surf and those who want peace and quite.

Legong Keraton is a simple but very friendly and clean hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and always smiling. The pool and restaurant overlooks the ocean and these parts of the hotel are designed very well with a lovely setting and great feel to them.
Canggu is about 25-30 mins in a car from Kuta, but during peak hour traffic it can take over an hour. Keen surfers and those people who want a bit of peace and quiet stay in Canggu. There is a fantastic beach house restaurant on the water front about 30mins stroll up the beach that does amazing value food and BBQ for when you need a bit of action and Seminyak is only 15-20mins in a cab with enough bars and restaurants to keep anyone busy.
We loved it there. All the guests at our wedding stayed at the legong which was just down the beach from the wedding villa - what it lacks in terms of luxury frills accommodation it definitely makes up for in service, friendliness and beach sunshine!

A very nice hotel,
Perfect for children because it's located directly at the beach and because of the lovely pool. Great surfing spot too. Nice and quite, but l close enough to Seminyak if you want some more excitement. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing that needs improvement is the food. Stick to the Indonesian dishes.
Booking on internet is definitely cheaper than to bargain at reception. If you want to rent a surfboard, ask the gardner!

The Legong Keraton is perfect for couples, families and those who want to relax in peaceful surroundings.
There is easy access to 6 surf breaks within walking distance.
Our group was 4 adults with a 18 month old baby and it was perfect for us.
The staff are excellent and attentive without being pushy, and the place is always immaculate.
I would stay there again without hesitation.
Highly recomended.

Plus or minus buttons not working so overall rating says 0 should be 5. Hotel very modern and clean. Room and bathroom very good. No kettle, hot water jug. Balcony with two chairs and bench seat. Pool set in nice garden area. Restaurant good, breakfast buffet or sometimes a la carte. Staff very friendly. Hotel right on beach good for surfers. Best hotel I have stayed in for price. Highly recommended.

We enjoy staying at Legong Kraton as it is a beach front hotel and the beach is quiet you wont be hassled by vendors as normaly you would in Kuta beach.
