Good experience
This is the second time I have visited and stayed over night a Mara River Safari Park and I would not hesitate to recommend it for value and convinence. For a little more than the cost of the entry cost (for 2 people) you are able to stay overnight and view the park and animals at leisure in the cooler late afternoon and morning, yes the restaurant prices are a little expensive on average for bali, but where can you pat a lion club, hold a baby orangatan and hand fed an elephant......priceless! I would not hesitate to recommend the park, especially for families with young children, or in my case 21 year old daughter, awesome experience and we have the photos to prove it !

amazing
We had the best time at mara river, some times you see web sites and think they look good, but mara river safari park is way better, than it looks on the web site, the staff were great, the pool with the animals walking by was amazing ,you could almost reach out and touch them, the rooms had a very african feel about them, and having breakfast with the lions about 2 meters away from your window was brilliant,a must stay if you love animals,we will tell all our friends they have to come to mara river.

Holiday on a holiday!
Amazing retreat, have been here with my boyfriend and with family on two separate occasions, and would return in a heart beat. Rooms are amazing and being set within a safari, is an experience in itself! Absolutely worth all the money!!!

Wild Bali
My husband and I booked to stay at Mara River Safari Lodge because we are originally from Africa( now residing in Australia) and felt like a bit of an ''Africa Fix''. We were not expecting too much as we have enjoyed fabulous African lodges in the past but we were pleasantly surprised. The layout of the lodge itself is well thought out and allows for some truely up close and personal experiences with the wildlife. The room we stayed in was an upper level room which we loved because it had a high thatch roof and an outside/in bathroom which was great. The restaurant was pricey compared to normal Bali restaurant prices but the proximity to the lions made it worthwhile for a meal in the evening. The pool area is fantastic once again providing a suberb vantage point for viewing the rhino and other game whilst comfortably submerged in the refreshing pool. One final accolade for the staff was the exceptional service they provide and the extra mile they go to to ensure you feel special. It was my husband's birthday whilst we were there and a lovely little birthday cake was presented to him as a surprise after I simply informed them of the fact. Overall, a worthwhile experience which I would recommend to couples and families.

A night in the safari..
Loves the room albeit we have got no idea why we failed to find the switch for the balcony light! Surroundings are amazing. Unfortunately breakfast was so-so. They need to be improved a lot. Bacon was over-cooked so they end-up tastes like a piece of wood/rubber?? Service staff were good but the person that standing in the Chef's uniform really need to smile. I was standing in front of him for minutes, wanting to order the omelette and yet he has no courtesy to ask if I need to order anything or need any help. Overall, I would strongly recommended this place for a family holidays as there are lots of activities in the park. Although it is unlikely that we will be staying here again in the future, but this place will be a new exposure for a first time visitor to the safari environment.

wonderful hotel and park- given me a life time of memories
Loved it. Would definately recomend to others. Spent 2 nights with our children aged 16 and 11 years, the rooms had interconnecting doors. Hotel rooms very comfortable equipped with everything from umbrella to fruit baskets.
Staff went out of their way to help.
we had the most memorable stay at Mara -My children still can`t believe touching the tiger or cuddling the orangutang.
pool area smashing - surreal swimming in a pool with the elephant safari passing by !!
Hope to return one day

Our best 2 nights in bali
picked up from airport friendly driver all resort staff were lovely. Room had aircon spacious standar room lots of pillows. Service was fast. Food was so tasty every meal. Different featured Animal to meet In the lobby during evening. Great extras provided such as foot massage. Nice to see safari park over two days close by to return to our rooms and rest . The humidity and weather can drain your energy. Definitely recommend 2nights. Breakfast included in our deal yummy caters for all tastes and fresh too!

This place exceeded my expectations in many...
This place exceeded my expectations in many ways. The access to viewing/feeding the animals was excellent and was actually better in many ways than the game reserves I've been to in Africa. It was also much easier for us to negotiate with a somewhat stubborn 19 month year old. The service within the hotel and restaurants is excellent. One suggestion might be to take US dollars to pay for your room/food otherwise you'll be subject to exaggerated exchange rates.
