Excellent
its a great experience staying here, the terrace jacuzzi is the one that hit my kids, they're crazy about it.
Very disappointed!
Spent 3 nights at the resort. Felt that the amount paid for the ocean view room was very disappointing. The room had many defects. The curtains were not able to be drawn properly. Sliding doors could not be locked. Bath amenities were not refilled. Daily breakfast buffet was of poor quality and food at the Wild Orchid was really bad.

We enjoyed a lazy 5 day stay at Anantara. Great location close to restaurants and bars and right on the beach. Our room was huge, the oversized bed was supremely comfortable, walk out balcony into the pool (only 4 rooms like this)with outdoor spa bath and the bathroom with rain shower, deep bathtub etc, was large enough to hold a small convention! The pre-loaded Ipod was an excellent idea, big plasma TV and Bose sound system all get a big tick. Staff were welcoming and greeted us warmly everywhere we went. The rooftop bar SOS has commanding views up and down the beach - perfect for lounging on day beds with silly drink in hand while watching the sun go down. Strangely we dropped by for an after dinner drink at about 9.30pm one night and the staff were closing up! A shame the adjacent restaurant was being refurbished and was not open. The grounds and main pool though smaller than some other resorts were very pleasant. If you're looking for a chic beachside hotel where you can mingle with other guests Anantara is a very good choice.

Great big room with the most comfortable huge King size bed. Lovely helpful friendly staff. Good location to good restaurants and bars nearby. recommend the pool access ocean front rooms definitely.

Overall the room is nice, quite big and comfortable. However, the pillows were too soft. Service staff were very helpful and sent extra pillows when asked but they didn't have other types of pillow.
Overall the service staff were very helpful. We had problems with the internet connection and the service staff were quick to recommend alternatives.
Bali is a very lively place. I felt the hotel was too close to the hotel next door, Sofitel I believe and the room was not sound proof. So we could hear the noises from outside whenever we were in the room, even when we were asleep since activities go on till early mornings. It didn't help that there were renovation works during the stay. They were tearing down the bar on the top floor. And since our room was just 1 floor below, it aggrevated the noise problem. One of the reason why we choose this hotel was because the bar was a much recommended place to visit at bali by some bali guides. We only found out that the bar was being torn down few days before departure so we were quite disappointed.

please note that the overall rating given in this review has to do with the quality of the room and the location of the facility. This is by no means a 5 star resort hotel. It is in my opinion overpriced. The pool area is cramped and uncomfortable,there is very limited and restricted sunbathing facilites within the complex. everything from the restaurant, swimming pool,lobby, sitting or more aptly non sitting area's, are bundled together in a confined space. Outside your room, there is no place to relax,within the hotel, unless you get up at the crack of dawn to get one of the limited sunbeds available.
It does not represent good value for money,the service is very ordinary in comparison to the anantara in the golden triangle, were I stayed just prior to this visit. As a regular visitor to bali I can assure you there is much better than this to be had for half the price. Shop around,this place is far to expensive, and is more an apart- hotel rather than the 5 star resort it claims to be.probably nice for a short romantic break. Overall very disappointed

Really nice funky modern hotel, very big rooms, only thing the beach is way too small. Need to wake up early, around 9, to reserve a sunbed. Its not something you want to be doing when you're on holiday!!
