The Hotel location, facilities and services were ideal for my reason for being in Denpasar city area.
The daily buffet breakfast was more than adequate, staff and management were friendly and helpful. Room size and overall cleanliness was of a very good standard.
Not sure if the location would suit everyone looking for a place to holiday or who may prefer a longer stay in a tourist zone. also the swimming pool seemed to be more of a water feature than a place for swimming. But for being close to or within the city, as I needed to be, it was ideal.
and yes, I would most certainly consider staying there again.
Very far from airport about 40-50 min...
Very far from airport about 40-50 min away. Nothing to see around the area. Mostly locals occupy the hotel. Bathroom was not as clean as expected.
Aston Denpasar is located a little bit...
Aston Denpasar is located a little bit out of the way in the city, it is usually not shown on tourist map, however, with the blue bird so easy to call and find, you will have no problem getting abywhere.
The hotel is nicely designed and modern. Rooms are spacious, the bed is very comfortable! Bathroom is very good too with the usual facilities. Breakfast is fine, offering a small selection of European and Asian choices. At present (Jan 2009), internet is not yet fully installed, however, you can connect to their free wi-fi at the lobby and pool area, we were able to connect wi-fi even in our room as it was near the pool side. In addtion, they have 3 computers at the business center for free use 24 hours.
If you are looking for nightlife and actions, this place is not for you as it is far from all the nightlife, Denpasar is more the real people place than Kuta, Sanur and Nusa Dua, etc. The hotel is far away from the airport, so expect about 1 hour to get there. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.
