Terrible Resort
My wife and I have stayed in 9 Bali resorts & villas over the past 2 years. 3V is the worst by far. The grounds are lovely, the staff friendly . But that is where the good news ends. On arrival we were supplied a basket of fruit as per the ad. Most of the fruit was rotting. It was replaced with……more rotting fruit. The 2br Villa we stayed in was quite dirty and mouldy. The floor plan was poorly thought out, with the fridge, kitchen and phone all in the open area between the 2 bedrooms. Meaning you had to leave your cool room and go into the heat to access anything. The aircoditioning in one of our rooms was faulty. Despite promises from the Genl Mngr, that it would be inspected; no such inspection occurred. The lovely Jacuzzi advertised is more like a cold outdoor bath, it is so tiny. The promise of excellent wifi in the villas was also a myth, with poor or no reception for the bulk of the time. The bedding offers no sheets, so you can either have no covers at all, or a thick doona. The relaxing fam. pool had more traffic than Kuta. 3V offers outside membership to its’ gym and pool area, ( which of course they don’t mention in their advertising ) resulting in a constant stream of people, kids, and god knows who else wandering in, out and around your “lovely relaxing pool area”.
And these are not the worst things about 3V! The food menu is appalling; with an extreme imbalance between an attempt to “go healthy” and still remain somewhat tasty. They have failed badly. The portion sizes are tiny and far too expensive compared with similar resorts. The inc. breakfast is toast, coco pops or milo cereal, EB tea or coffee. If you ask for green tea instead, you are charged. If you want a “grown up’s” cereal like muesli, you’re charged. All cooked breakfasts are charged. When approached with some of these concerns, the French General Manager was arrogant argumentative and downright rude. We could not recommend this facility to anyone.
