Noise free relax place
A place whereby we hardly hear any noise from any vehicles.
Very relaxing and felt like back to the 60s.
Service were very good and we were well taken care of by the staffs.

Very nice and spacious, beautifully presented accommodation with polite staff but expensive, rather impersonal & in the middle of nowhere so we were tied to meals at the hotel. Traditional Balinese massage was good and unhurried. Despite having mentioned twice in previous correspondence via email we were both veggie and having asked specifically if they could prepare a vegetarian evening meal for us, this had clearly not been noted so the only offering was a larger version of one of the standard starters - very disappointing for accommodation of this calibre and to be honest the food was nothing special, although the presentation was very attractive. Also contacted the hotel after our stay to say I had left a pair of reading glasses and to ask if they had been found, but nearly 1 month later have still not had a reply.
Memorable Munduk Moding
After flying from brisbane, Australia, and staying 4 days in Ubud, we arranged a taxi driver who was able to drive us to Munduk Moding resort. We had 3 enjoyable days at the Plantation staying in the Junior Suite. This was very comfortable and spacious with gorgeous views over the fabulous infinity pool, the tropical grounds, and all the way down to the Bali Sea and the volcanoes on the horizon. The sunsets were particularly stunning each day with reflections in the infinity pool. We managed to plunge in the very cold water in the pool a few times and it was quite bracing but also very refreshing. We felt sure it was doing us good!
There are also beautiful views from the bathroom window and especially of the many blue hydrangeas which grow in abundance in that area. The shower was always nice and hot too.
The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The traditional Balinese massage was fantastic and highly recommended. The spa is in a separate bungalow, very private and peaceful. In fact, the whole place provides a sense of privacy and respect of its guests. A bonus was the delicious ginger tea and a different homemade Balinese cake provided at 4pm each day. This was great as it started to get a bit chilly around that time.
There's a good library of books, magazines, and dvds. . We walked around the grounds and watched the roasting and grinding of the beans. We were encouraged to take a turn..
The resort provides many daily activities at a cost, but we chose not to do any of these as we were happy just to relax there. The property is off the beaten track and one really needs a vehicle or a driver to see the surrounding areas. It was really quiet and peaceful and a great place to just unwind and enjoy the beauty that it offers. At night, you could see the stars and the lights along the coast and in the valley below. The days were sunny interspersed by mountain mist.
We highly recommend this resort.
Great get-a-way
A great relaxing country escape if you want to get away from it all. There's cable tv but otherwise far away from the bustle of city life. The hotel is clean, located in a farming area, beautiful green, hilly scenery, nice food, lovely staff, great massage, interesting tours. The cooking class was great -the lady made cooking look easy & it was tasty. A cool location in January (low 20 deg)! It was misty in the evenings and we needed to use light warm weather gear (a nice change from our hot summer weather). Hotel & villas are on a hill side so you need to be able to walk. We really enjoyed our stay.
Heaven on earth
This place is heaven on earth. Situated in the middle of a coffee plantation with flowers, banana trees and wow, what a view! Highly recommended!

(German)Vorwiegend für Trekker und Naturgenießer. Das Hotel ist schon sehr entlegen, dafür entlohnt eine wunderschöne Lage inmitten einer Plantage bei derzeit 2 Suiten und 3 Villas.
Die Zimmer und Villen sind 54 qm groß und traditionell eingerichtet, eine Fliegenklatsche lohnt sich.
Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und während der fortlaufenden Trainingszeit (Eröffnung 7/2009) stets bereit zu lernen.
Einkaufs- und Selbstversorgungsmöglichkeiten bestehen nicht.
Sehr, sehr gute Massagen zu 10-15$.
Die hauseigene Speisekarte ist überschaulich, aber gut.
