Shabby
1st day bath would not drain, sliding door handle broken, vanity plumbing leaking resulting in a towel being used to stop leakage (towel very dirty). Problems were fixed but accommodation very shabby. White towels that were grey. Nearly asked for money back.
First Bali experience
The Ramada Resort Camakila was really nice once we got into the room we reserved. When we arrived we were given cards/access to somebody else's room by accident because the numbers were mixed up at the front desk so we worried a little about security and always put our valuables in the safe and put the latch on our door! We were shown to a room that had 2 single beds rather than the king we reserved and were told our room wouldn't be available until the following evening at 8pm so the first nights sleep wasnt great.
Once we were finally settled into our correct room it was lovely, a massive difference between the 2 single bed rooms and the 1 king sized bed- plus the balcony view of the pool was nice! The staff were great, very friendly and happy to help. Great wi-fi service in the lobby. The breakfast was good every morning.
I would definitely stay here again, it was one of the nicest resorts in legian and very close to the beach and nice eating restaurants all on the back street. My boyfriend and I drank cocktails at the bar which were pretty pricey so I would recommend eating and drinking at an alternative place but otherwise all good.
If it is your first time to Bali I have a few pointers for you: don't let the ground staff grab your bag for you at the airport they are just trying to make money, if you jump in a taxi always ask for the meter to be put on otherwise they over-charge you, if you have to pay for anything extra make sure it is always legit!

The breakfast was beautiful and the pool at the rear facing the beach is wonderful to have a drink and watch the sun go down. The hotel is in a great location, out of the hussle but yet only a 5 minute walk to Padma Street and has some very good restaurants around it. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Great Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Remada Camakila, the room was very nice and perfect for a couple, the staff very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Room service was nice but a little pricey for what it was. The bathroom grout needs a good scrubbing but overall very happy with our stay.
We found the hotel to be in a great location, between Kuta & Seminyak. Close to beachside restaurants and cafes and taxi fares were very cheap going in either direction. Breakfasts were ok. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great King size bed. TV was small for the large room we had. The only real downside was the bath towels were sun-standard for a hotel of this quality and hot water for showers was scarce. Would we stay there again, most definitely.
The resort is in a great location in Legian, between busy Kuta and the upmarket Seminyak. We had a nice private room with a balcony (on the third floor) overlooking the restaurant and ocean.
The only complaint is that the white towels although clean, are old, thin, gray and need replacing as do the lumpy old pillows.
We have stayed in this resort and would consider staying again.
a wonderful stay
Thank you Ramada!!! This hotel is wonderful. We spent 5 nights at the Ramada and loved every thing about it. It is in the best location in Legian, on the beach and away from the hustle and bustle, but there is still lots to buy just outside the front door! The hotel is very relaxing and staff could not have been nicer. The pool is lovely to spend the say around. Breakfast is great, very western though (sometimes its nice when you can be away and experience what they eat in that country too!!!). Food at the Tao bar is heaven. Room is a wonderful size... so big. lots of tv channels. Comfy beds. It really is a great all round choice and I would have no hesitations on reccommending it to all everyone! the spa is lovely too and thay have some great daily specials. you will enjoy your stay!!!!

At first glance it looks new,clean and modern with nice pools and layout. the staff are very professional,accommodating and polite.
My gripes were-noise...if you want a quiet place to stay with no disturbance,don't stay here. There is no sound insulation in the walls or floor and i could hear at all hours of the night like it was in my room- door slamming,footsteps,sex,vomiting,singing,tv's,arguing,swearing,parties,crying babies. My sleep was constantly and violently broken so take earplugs,even these might not be helpful.
The breakfast was also a letdown,the food was never fresh,they often served leftovers from the previous night.such as baked chicken,beef stirfry and other weird concoctions no other nationality would eat for breakfast. the fruit salad was never fresh and was always soggy and when that wasn't eaten that day they would serve it again the next day but soaked in orange juice and with unripe sugar melon to fill it out. The tea was so weak it was like water.they only had 3 types of condiments for toast-2 of which were not popular flavoured jams-the other was vegemite...disgusting to all but aussies.The other things on offer for breakfast were very fatty,unhealthy and you just felt that it was really budget and cheap. As a result the restaurants were always empty in this hotel.Disappointing.
Hotel stay good , but not advised...
Hotel stay good , but not advised until day before that top pool was tobe closed due to wedding reversal.This was my wife,s favorite place to relax . The hotel should have provided guest free dinner or massage ??? Guests should be advised at time of booking ,that there will be some parts of the hotel closed !
