paradise
I have only spent a day here but was treated as family. The villa was enourmous decorated with beautiful artwork. The bed was spacious but the matress was a bit dated. I had breakfast and dinner. The Nasi Goreng was delicious! Currently there is some new villas buing built but it eas not noisy at all. Make sure you visit the fantastic art collection of the owner under the reception building.

A wonderful experience with attentive staff and friendly faces everywhere!
The main rooms were beatifully furnished with lovely antiques, paintings and objets d'art.
Breakfast was served in a lovely terraced area with views across a small valley.
The grounds, pools and walkways were a joy.
Transport into Ubud was provided whenever it was requested.
Altogether a superd destination which should be kept a secret !!

Highlight of our trip
A great hotel. Ask Peter the owner to show you the museum, and make sure you swim in the silky water in the pool. Massage was great, accommodation was great. Staff were friendly. It felt like a home away from home. A great place to unwind. The view from breakfast was breathtaking. wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
A very quiet, relaxing place to stay: the staff are friendly and very helpful, and the location is great if you are looking for peace and quiet - situated next to a scenic river valley (although you have to look a long way down to see the river!) and around 10 minutes out from the centre of Ubud. The road into town is a small, quiet country road and is a pretty drive in itself through the rice paddies (and good fun if one of the staff drives you in to town on their scooter!). The accomodation is very good - the smaller rooms are quite simple (no tv) but well done, and the Mads Lange villa is worth a bit of extra expense with it's private pool and jacuzzi right up against the edge of the valley. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a couple of days r n' r!
Beautiful place and excellent staff
First day we were met by very helpful people at the hotel reception. We had ordered a standard room but were upgraded to a private villa for free, nice! The villa was very exotic with stunning views. 2 floors with a bathroom, guest-house with two beds and a private chill-out area in 1st floor. Bedroom with veranda in the 2nd floor. We had some mosquitoes, but the staff came every night a lightened anti-bug-smokers for us. They didn't remove them all, but it helped.
The food at the restaurant was good, but we were the only guests at the restaurant (around 7-9pm) 3 nights in a row, slow period I guess.
What impressed me the most was the staff though. Smiley and helpful 24/7, and never begging for any tip. We gave them 200 000 Rupiah ($20) when we left though, because we loved them!

The resort is very nice,aroma,quiet. The owner and all staffs are friendly, helpful make you feel at home.A bit too far from the city ( can't walk ) but the resort provide free transportation to the city.If the resort change shampoo and soap to spa grade it would be perfect.I love this place.
