Nice apartment with value of money
I stayed with my big family, we took 4 rooms at the ground level with pool view for 3 nights stayed. The room is good, staff are friendly and help full. Pool is not big than i thought, quite small actually. Most important every room have a kitchen net very important for family with small children. We enjoyed our stay there.
Great place to stay
This is the third time that we have stayed at Astana Kunti Apartments and we are still very happy with it. Staff are excellent - especially Amy on receiption. It is a small hotel with great sized rooms and very good value for money. It is close to town and they have now improved the road.
Nice break
It is a nice place when you need to have short break from the city. Good location, nice room and quite friendly staffs. Breakfast is served in the apartment with good quality and quantity. The only weakness is unpaved road to reach the place, it is uncomfortable even when you're inside a car.
Beautiful and cozy villa
We book the room at promo price thus value for money! We stay in apartment which is good enough if you have many outdoor activities planned! Room is clean, cozy and beautiful.
Breakfast send to your room but they are always late!
All is good except for their lateness!
Hotel transfer which is pre-arranged is our first disappointment!
We need to call to inform that we have reached, then they send pple to pick us up so waited an hour!
There is a need to improve their customer service especially committment to guests!
quiet island in busy kuta area
we definitely enjoyed very much staying there.
but guests should be aware of the location which requires either readyness to walk or being prepared to take a taxi (which does not cost a lot) to get to shopping street and beach.
i was grateful for the distance to the busy parts of seminyak and loved the view from the lounge area: fields, a cow, nature.
breakfast is served in rooms or in lounge, nice nasi goreng breakfast for choice!
the garden/yard with pool is rather small but sufficient if you use it only for the hours in between excursions etc.
the fact that they charge for internet use is annoying!
Best for Honeymooners....
Actually, there are no comments on this apartment as it was a very cozy and best for couples to have their honeymoon. I had a great rest thru out my holidays because this is what I planned for thid trip. I had a lovely night and the pool is totally cool and calm without disturbant. I would love to visit this apartment again and do recommend the rest who wish for a quite and peaceful place. It also very near to Kuta and the rest of the places.

This has been a quiet n decent place for my family, we were on the ground floor serviced apartment (saved carrying our baby stroller to top floors). Swimming pool was small (located right behind the appt) but good enough to take a dip after a busy day out. My little daughter enjoyed playing in the pool, no problems with any facility.
Food was alright not many options in English and Indonesian breakfast, didnt provide us with cooking condiments (as promised over the phone) but we bought from a store in the city (as there were no stores in the nearest vicinity, need to walk atleast 10-15mins to the main road)
Location is good but the road to reach here was awful (lots of pot holes). Taxis are just a call away if you need to go out, mind the charges (you might need to haggle).
Over all a pleasant experience, would definitely recomend for a short/long get away.

It is a mystery how/ why this hotel was awarded with some kind of luxury award!!!
We stayed at Astana Kunti for about a week. We had booked for 11 nights but checked out early after 7 days (no refund of course)!!! That says it all.
The reasons why this place is not recommendable:
- very far away from everything! Minimum. 20 min walk to the beach. transport is always a must!
- breakfast is a joke. no variety. soggy toast and bitter coffee.
- staff friendly but doesn't seem to sincerely care
- cleanliness was ok but the tiles in the shower were infested with mold. showerhead chalky. tap in the kitchen loose.
- no balinese garden. in general no connection to balinese culture. is just like any other midrange hotel anywhere else in the world.
The most important thing though that the Astana Kunti lacks, is some kind of soul & heart, which makes a homely feeling impossible.

Excellent Value - be careful though!
Lovely place and excellent value for money. You will need a taxi or motorbike to go anywhere though, walking anywhere is not an option.. This hotel is very new although there are already signs of paint peeling etc. The bed is lovely and the kitchen facilities are adequate. The pool is narrow but quite long and a lovely temperature. Not many sun loungers present. The staff are very helpful and extremely friendly.
I say be careful becuase they will try and extract more money from you when ever the chance occurs (This is typical of most Indonesians and not specific to this hotel). I lost my key one time and was told it would be $100US to get a new key even though it was a key that would cost $3US to cut. Luckily I found the key. The minibar for water and soft drinks is extremely expensive and you can by the same things in the shop round the corner for a tenth of the price.

The room was beautiful but it is in the middle of nowhere with no restaurant or room service (except breakfast). We had to leave five days early to come back to australia for medical help as my partner was very sick and we were refused a refund for the last five nights. please be aware of this.
