Romantic and relaxing
We stayed at the Khayangan Dreams in March 2011 for 7 nights for our honeymoon. We had high expectations having previously stayed in a lovely villa in Bali in 2009 but we were not disappointed.
The Khayangan Dreams was amazing. The villa (we were in number 4) is just as beautiful as the website photos. Absolute luxury and it had everything we needed. When it rained there was a little bit of water leaking through the doors but the staff provided extra towels to soak the water and so it was no problem at all.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and always smiling. They are available 24 hours and all speak very good english. Nothing is a problem for the staff here, even when I broke the room's safety box or my husband's tattoo ink got all over the sheets they were still happy and helpful.
Breakfast was delivered to the room each morning at the time we requested and was always delicious. A full range of American, continental or Indonesian is available, we tried all and they were equally good. We ordered room service one night, the chicken gordon blue (yes I think it is supposed to be cordon bleu!) and the grilled snapper, and it only took about 20 minutes and was superb.
The villa is located in Petitenget on a small quiet street. It was great in that our villa was very quiet and peaceful. At the end of the street is Jl Petitenget with supermarkets, shops and restaurants. However this area is a lot quieter than Seminyak and Legian. If you want to really hit the markets or nightlife you will need to go further into the busy areas. Initially we started getting taxis, would cost about $3-5 AUD to get to Legian and could take between 15 and 30 minutes depending on traffic. On day 3 we hired a scooter and this was definitely the way to go. We were then able to zip around anywhere we needed.
We were very happy with the Khayangan Dreams and would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone who is after a luxurious, romantic, relaxing holiday.
