beautiful villa stay
From the moment we arrived at this villa we were made to feel welcome by Andre and his family and his staff. This is a truely beautiful villa stay in the middle of many paddy fields just outside ubud.everything about it seduces you into pure blissful relaxation, it is like bringing your home on holiday with you. I would recomend any body this villa if you are looking for atruely warm unique vacatrion .
Very nice and romantic place
Stayed in villa Areklo for 6 nights and absolutely enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very warm and relaxed. Personal is very friendly and helpful, provided all necessary information on all places of interest: attractions, eating, spas, shopping, performances, etc. Arranged tours for a very reasonable prices.
Breakfast is delicious. Very nice swimming pool. Large and comfy resting and dining area.
Villa is away of Ubud center, but provides free shuttle service, which is very convenient. Being away of the center it is very quiet and enjoyable.
Overall, very beautiful and enjoyable place.

The perfect ubud hideaway
THE perfect place to stay in the Ubud area not only for families!
very charming, lovely and beautiful family hotel in the rice fields outside Ubud.
run by a very friendly young family, it offers both complete relaxation within its tranquill setting, a perfect pool, loungy areas and stylish and locally furnished rooms, as well as a warm and welcoming atmosphere for those ready to meet other minded travellers from all over the world or to set out for the local experience.
They just provide everything that a traveller wishes for! Including a perfect breakfast...

Fantastic food, lovely and quiet but still warm atmosphere. a little bit out of the main part of Ubud - free transport into and back Ubud makes this not an issue. We had a driver from legion take us there and it was a bit hard to find so i would recommend getting dropped in the main part of Ubud then getting the hotel to pick you up.
We were traveling with 2 children aged 4 & 5. They loved the pool and the food.
I would stay here again anytime.

Staying in Villa Areklo was the highlight accommodation of our trip. It's a small but well maintained hotel. Since we step into the reception we were warmly welcomed into this hotel. The owners of this hotel - a German couple- gave us great advice about restaurants, places to visit and places not to visit. Everything that they recommended was a unique Balinese experience at a very affordable price. They recommend places that only locals know, it's great to skip the tourist crowd and being able to truly know the Balinese culture.
The food at Areklo was great, the breakfast in freshly serve giving you a variety of options. The banana pancakes were my favorite but don't miss out on the fresh fruit and the freshly squeezed juice! Location of this hotel is perfect, close enough to central Ubud but far enough that you are able to relax. The pool overviews the rice paddies to complete the Balinese experience. Villa Areklo will always be my first choice of accommodation in Ubud!
The food at Areklo was great, the breakfast in freshly serve giving you a variety of options. The banana pancakes were my favorite but don't miss out on the fresh fruit and the freshly squeezed juice! Location of this hotel is perfect, close enough to central Ubud but far enough that you are able to relax. The pool overviews the rice paddies to complete the Balinese experience. Villa Areklo will always be my first choice of accommodation in Ubud!
If you look for 5-star luxury, this is not your place. If you appreciate quiet countryside, family atmosphere and a touch of adventure, you will really enjoy coming here. The hospitality of the owner family is outstanding. We felt like visiting old friends. His personal recomendations for exploring the island made it a real special holiday for us. Thanks a lot!
Very Special Spot
If you are looking for a place away from the noise and traffic the more heavily visited spots in Bali then this is perfect.
Be warned there are no TV's or bar fridge though, this is a place to wind down and relax. It is not a big commercial style hotel, rather it has a home stay feel but in luxury villas.
What you do get is some of the most friendly and dedicated staff to make you stay special. Andre and his family the German owner and along with his staff from the local village really go out of their way. Take his advice on places to eat around Ubud and again you will a fantastic experience while avoiding the tourist traps.
The villa location makes it really unique, being about 5-10 mins from Ubud (there is a free shuttle service, so don't think you are stuck) makes the rural ldeal, the sounds of the nearby forrest are something from a relaxation soundtrack, bar the sounds from the occasional rooster.
Breakfast is again a relaxed event, basically eat as much as you want. The Banana pancakes are simply amazing. We even shared an evening meal cooked by Andre with his family and another family group traveling. This is a really homely feeling place.
The rooms are clean, modern and recently renovated. As we where traveling with a 11 year old we where given the suite for free as it wasn't booked and would provide a little more space. Andre and his family seem to really value a positive experience over money grabbing.
We plan on making this a regular stop in Bali.
