Staff anxious to help and do my stay the best. Great value for money. Good 20, 30 minutes walk from downtonw, but located in a quiet and pleasant spot, a lot better than being in the noisy and annoying downtown. I recommend it.
Service and advice from Annie at the font desk was VERY helpful and MUCH appreciated. The room was lovely - nice, big and airy, with aircon. Location of the guesthouse was a little inconvenient - however if you're prepared to either walk 20-30mins OR pay the 30-40K for a taxi down to Ubud Market then this won't be a problem for you. Of course the flip side is that during the new years celebrations we were a little removed from the continuous fireworks. So it wasn't all that bad. All in all, Guesthouse Kudos is well worth considering for your Ubud stay.
The location of the accomodation is in a country side. It is green all around. However, the place is quite far away from any place of action. It is more suitable for someone looking for a silent retreat. The staff is very friendly and helpful. However. what is lacking in the service is professionalism. There was an offer for free pickup from airport. The offer was honoured. However, the vehicle stinked of urine and it was a real mess. Had to request the driver to open the windows and even after that it still stinked. Could not avoid, since the alternate means of transportation was expensive. Please note that Ubud is on a hilly region is not in the plains of Bali. The location is not suitable for anyone looking for warm sandy beaches. It is ideal for a cool (not cold) get away from the plains.
Will keep the review short and simple. Great Staff - Ani, Dewa and Made, not forgetting the cutest dog ever - Amor, Great Room (in fact the best I stayed in during my travelling experience around Bali), Great View from the guesthouse, Great Service and Great Value for Money. Top notch. Thank you Ani, Dewa, Made and Amor Laura and Sarah x
Ok, so the staff here is extremely friendly. tv is great, so many channels... If you want a night in. Room is very clean, a ant or two in the bath room. The shower lacks pressure and sprays everywhere but you can still shower. Banana pancakes for breakfast is great! The only bad thing about this place is the location. It's a 20minute walk to the centre of ubud, which is fine if your walking to Ubud...... but the walk home at night you best arm yourself with a stick to fight of those dogs! Or you could pay the 30,000rp to get home. (3 aus dolloars)
So i would stay again but for the money you pay....you would expect better location.
Fantastic place to stay! The family helped me with all my troubles and queries. Very friendly and made me feel at home and were always willing to help me with anything. Would definitely return to the Guest House Kudos.. thanks guys!
We booked for a week at a special rate of approx. $50aud per night and based on that we thought it was reasonable value for money. We had a family room which was quite large and the bathroom was small but adequate. The big plus is the staff who all speak reasonable English and will go out of their way to help you with just about everything. The location gives you the opportunity to meet the local villagers and artists who love to engage with interested visitors. its a 2km downhill walk into Ubud which is no problem. You can negotiate a drive back to the hotel for as little as 20,000 Rupiah ($2.20). Only 6 rooms in a rural location ensures a peaceful stay - the roosters didn't even wake us up. Recommended for those on a budget who aren't looking for 5 stars and who like mixing with the locals. Great little restaurant just a hundred metres or so down the road - great Balinese massages and beauty treatments behind the restaurant.
This small hotel is located 2 km north of central Ubud. If you do not plan to rent a scooter, this hotel is not a good choice. The area is a typical Balinese village overlooking the rice field and the sounds of a rooster. The hotel itself was really worth its price. We paid 21 euros for a double room. The room was clean and everything was as described on the website. The hotel staff was very, very friendly and helpful. For breakfast we get toast with omelette and a few pieces of fruit. If you're greedy you will not be full. We were very pleased with the hotel and we desire to return there. The pool is in a different hotel just 200 meters away and we did not have time to take advantage. Ubud is a very pleasant place, though it is a lot of tourists here. Food prices are not high. Dinner with a drink in the restaurant from $ 5.
Awesome lil guest house, newly established.
Friendly staff with hostess that speaks good english.
Clean and comfortable.
Easy stroll into town.
would stay there again.
