resort feel without the beach ;-)
Padma hotel is for sure a great hotel and I would for sure choose this hotel again should I go back to Bandung.
Food was great, room very nicely decorated and clean, all was great except one thing.
If one one hand I can't bur praise the Management's choice to have a team of very young staff at some point it was obvious that when you place your hotel in the hands of 25 years old young adults they might lack what it takes to be in charge of the front desk for instance.
As far as I am concerned, the evening front desk staff were too playful, giggling and laughing all the time and not really taking their role seriously.
At one occasion it took us one hour to get a taxi because they just called the company but never checked if the taxi company had send a taxi or not. At another occasion it was about 40 minutes so from that point on we decided to call taxis ourselves and the service was much faster.
That is something that is really lacking at Padma and that is the relation with a taxi company which will ensure you do not have to wait forever to get a cab as the hotel is far from any activity.
All in all a good experience but there are some area from improvement

Excellent breakfast!
To be honest what I'm gonna miss from Padma Hotel is its breakfast menu. Oh my God it's so various and delicious! I love it! The open air restaurant gives you a beautiful green view. The customer service is really helpful. My husband and I wanted to watch a local football game but it wasn't played on the cable TV. When we asked them to find the channel, they directly helped us. I stayed in Deluxe room. It's cozy.

Plenty of good pts offered by Padma Hotel. Was informed that it is an old hotel but underwent upgrading recently.
Great for quiet getaway and those who love surrounding themselves around nature, greenery, mountain views and peace. Away from busy traffic and on higher ground. May not be most convenient for those who prefer shopping in Bandung, but the drive is not more than 30mins from the nearest factory outlet stores like Rumah Mode.
Nice big pool, superb breakfast spread (really a lot to eat) at the restaurant set against a lush backdrop and fresh air! Recommend anyone for their personal butler (Pak Aji) who is experienced and made the stay really memorable. Staff are friendly (not sure during high season).

value for money
Staff are friendly and pleasant. Room clean and modern. Restaurant is so uniquely located that it offers view of the hills and the full moon on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. The closeness to nature and the cool fresh air is felt when one walks in the outbound area of the hotel.
Stay at Padma Hotel Bandung at Lebaran 2011
This is our second time to stay at Padma Hotel previuosly known as Malya Hotel. Actually, we never tried the hotel after their rennovated the hotel last year. We stayed at the new building, the priemiere and the room is so nice with the beautiful view of pool and the valley. The room is clean just the bathup shower did not work at that time but we can use the shower in the other side of the bathroom.
The food is good as my kids love to eat the bread and the ice cream. The pool is so nice also with the whirpool but needs to be bigger as the whirpool is too small as a lot of visitors want to use it. They also provide some activities such as making clay, outbound, trakking and biking activities. The problem jus the parking area is too small to accomodate all the cars used by the guests and the staff is limited in this area. We would like to stay again to this hotel in the future.

Fantastic getaway from the busy city life of Jakarta. Excellent accomodation and facilities. Very clean with great amenities. Stunning views accompanied by cooling, hilltop climate. Customer service was great, and staff are very friendly.
Need a better receptionist for the spa though, who can converse in English as well as Bahasa for foreign travellers.
Overall, a wonderful experience. Will be back again I'm sure!

It is located on a pristie ground with main hotel along the slope facing green valley. the view is simply splashing and air refreshing.
it has great views of both sun rise and sun set.
The breakfast is great combo of local, east & west galore.
The open-air concept restaurant provides a nice evening venue for live lounge performance with piano rendition.
Its spa is great with panoramic view of surrounding forestry.
Great hotel service with personal touch.
overall, a pleasant stay at a reknown boutique hotel in Bandung.
Actually i stayed in Padma for three...
Actually i stayed in Padma for three nights, this hotel was one of the best hotels i visited during my trip to Indonesia. And I recommend to visit this hotel.
