Great Value for Money
Good hotel for budget travellers - because it is great value for money, spacious and clean.
I don't mind paying a bit more for the Deluxe Room as it has bigger room space and bathroom (with bathtub).
The breakfast is quite decent considering the amount I paid (of course I don't put very high expectations).
I heard that the hotel will change the old color tv to LCD tv for all rooms within this year - which will be a great!!
Tips:
1. The hotel provide free shuttle to Nagoya Hill Mall at 1.30pm and 4.30pm. Pick up from Nagoya Hill Mall at 4.30pm
2. Taxi from Batam Centre to Hotel is Rp 50,000
3. Taxi from Hotel to Nagoya Hill Mall is Rp 40,000 - 45,000

Nice & Spacious
We stayed for 1nite in a deluxe room,which very spacious,clean with good amenities. The only fallback would be the buffet breakfast. We didnt enjoy it,the egg station was bad. Tasteless omeletts were done. Less variety to choose from. Other then that Mercure would be a good place stay.
Value for money
The room was spacious and clean. Had a pleasant stay with my love one. The only bad thing about the hotel is it is inconvenient to travel to places other then taking cab. The nearest shopping mall, Nagoya Hill took us 20mins walk.
Where's the Japanese restaurant?
I selected this hotel as it was supposed to have a Japanese restaurant (per the website) besides the usual cafe, but there wasn't. The cafe provides only a basic breakfast buffet. Drinking water is also not provided in the room, it's retailed for RP12,000 per bottle. There were 2 blackouts in one of the afternoons though power was quickly resumed. If you're planning on a leisurely swim, the pool is very small, forget it. Staff were generally friendly, but didn't seem to understand much English. Also, upon check-in, we asked to pay the room rates in full, the duty staff collected SGD150 from us, however, upon checkout, the collected amount reflected on the invoice was only RP914,000 (equivalent to SGD142 per the hotel's exchange rate), resulting in us paying another RP7,200. Although it amounted to only slightly more than SGD11, I'm unhappy about the dishonesty of the staff.
Generaly good
We just came back from batam, overall this hotel generaly good and value for your money. However the location is rather far from shopping place such as Nagoya hill at Jodoh area. Taxi cost will be 30000 ind for one way trip. 40000ind to Batam center. If you take hotel taxi, it will be slighly higher. You should consider this cost if you plan to stay here.
Stay at Mercure Hotel Batam
The room is beyond my expectations. One thing, that could be improved would be its sky garden. Overall, it was a nice place to stay in and I would definitely come back again. Thank you Asiarooms for making the reservation at Mercure Hotel a smooth and convenient one!
Not recommended unless no choice
A 3-star hotel rather than the rated 4-star. The furnitures are quite old, the bedsheets and towels are stained, the window's lock need to be broken in order to open it, TV quite small. Else, the location is quite okay, very near to the nagoya shopping centre.
Overall, not recommended unless there are no 3-stars hotel available.

Overall the service and facilities is good....
Overall the service and facilities is good. I enjoy my stay at Mecure but the location is not really accessable to shopping centre but the transport fair is reasonable.Breakfast can be improve with more varities.

Staff is polite and helpful. The hotel itself is also nice. Food is good, though a little expensive. I enjoyed staying there.
