Rate of the room
Rate from asiarooms and the rate from the hotel is different.i would like to know which room rate should i follow.i would like to thank mr.roy for helping me to get the rooms that i request.
Sad Experience
My family and I went for a short getaway to Batam and chose Swiss Belhotel Batam after looking at the beautiful pictures on the website. We were there to celebrate my brother's wedding anniversary. Upon booking we were told that the rate will be at SG$144 but upon reaching, we were informed that it's SG166. We were fine with it. There are no hotel transfers from the Harbour Bay ferry terminal as stated on the website. We had to take a cab, they don't even offer us an alternative solution when we wanted to go out shopping. Short and sharp they were rigid and couldn't compromise with hotel guests. The swimming pool area is very smelly and the water was dirty. Worse still there wasn't any kids pool thus spoiling the mood for my children. The last straw for me was when the housekeeping personnel entered my room without knocking and when there is no reason to as I was checking out on that day. He entered and when he realized I was in the room, he was dumbfounded and cooked up an excuse saying that he thought I extended my stay there. Didn't the receptionist update them on which room to clean and what not to? What would have happened if I wasn't appropriately dressed? Worse still what would have happened if there was no one in the room? Could our things have been stolen? All he could say was the same lame excuse and he has worked there for 1year. Is that an acceptable excuse? I strongly do not suggest anyone to stay in this hotel especially if u have children. They will not enjoy themselves.
There was a delay in our check-in as the counter personnel did not have our reservation notification. I showed her a copy of email from AsiaRooms but she asked me to email a copy to the hotel which obviously I could not do. Only when I showed her the quoted rates did she accepted us.

My Memorable Stay at Swiss Belhotel
I had an amazing stay at Swiss Belhotel for 1 night. The swimming pool was clean. People are friendly and definitely value for money.The room was clean but the food was so-so. Nothing fancy but overall, I have no complaints because my stay has been good! Do remember to go for a swim when you reach the hotel.

room service had the worst service! had to wait for 30mins for 2buckets of ice!
housekeeping was of no difference! there wasn't any extra pillows or blankets! iron board n Hairdryer was upon request! for making up of the room, we jus asked them to change the towels only, as e rest were all sleeping @ 9am, so when we were leavin the hotel at 2pm, n asked them to make up the room. when we came back, they claimed it was of additional charge, as the 1st time ard they have already 'made up' by giving us new towels for the room! pathetic!
nothin fantastic about breakfast.. had to wait 35mins for the egg, as he was bz serving the others who came after us! the breakfast area had No Fan Or Aircon on during breakfast timing.. room service food was also pathetic! i would rather go out and eat then have room service no matter wat time it was. chicken rice, had no chillie n the worst thing was the chicken was 50% cooked. fried rice had no color, plain n tasteless!
The pool area was ok, except that there werent any towels provided at the pool area.
Swiss Bel is good for friends who travel in a group and for family who have children. The place is very conviently located. walking down to fastfood areas is less then 10min walk. Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal is jus less then 5 mins drive.
beautiful and memorable trip
we stayed in swiss bel hotel in our leisure trip for batam and we found that this place is absolutely beautiful and well located and value for money , staff are very friendly cooperative and cleanliness is one thing we liked the most , breakfast can improve and internet facility in this wired world must be in room and not in lobby so pls take this advice and make the internet available in room.
Small Room with bad receptionist
firstime going to this hotel it's not like the picture..the hotel is small not like 4 star hotel. The receptionist is unfriendly and tell me that they are having their own exchange rate not like the value that printed by this website (we pay for rupiah). The room is so small, not easy to find the lamp button that centralize at the table near the bed (bad location for room control panel). No internet access on the room. The breakfast is standard, the swimming pool is small. The good thing is the floor using carpet, has a bathtub.

value for money.The front desk service is very good and serve with a smile.Breakfast.is very good compare to other hotel with the same price.I and my family enjoyed staying in this hotel and.will stay again in this hotel when we visit batam again.
