Second time @ Harris Hotel
First time staying at the Harris Hotel Batam.Very convenience 5 mins walking distance from Batam Centre .Staffs courteous and friendly .The breakfast are great .Hotel room is clean and spacious.Nice view from my room (sea view).We had inter connecting room with my son and family.I request for this type of room.Overall I am satisfied with the hotel service.You guys keep it up :)
Most friendliest hotel I ever stay
I seldom write in review for a hotel and in fact this is my first online. I had tried to book two nights with Harris but the second day was fully book. So we had to settle one night in Harris and the 2nd nite in a reputable one(sorry not mentioning). We took the package with free massage for two not including the breakfast.
When I stepped into the hotel, we were welcome with cold syrup drink and wet towel. The staff never failed to greet us with smiles. The room was nicely furnished only disappointed that there are no bathtub for our room. But we get over quickly as the massage therapists came over to our room. And another surprise awaits for my fiance given by the hotel. Two staff drop by with a birthday cake and sang to him.
Harris staff took extra care to cater to our needs and made us comfortable. Even to the extend of answering to our inquiries. Only the room service food need some improvement. The rice not quite cook and the meat(Korean bulgogi) kinda hard to chew. The soto was good.
Our 2nd nite in the other hotel was not as impressive. And not to go further details. Overall, we were very impressed. We will try all the hotels under Harris esp in Kuta(our next destination).
Thank you Harris for making this a memorable one. This is one of my fiance best birthday ever and we will come again soon.

great stay!
went with my gf for a short 1 night stay. was surprised at how near the hotel was to the ferry terminal and also the megamall. hotel was new, clean. staff were super friendly and helpful. room was good too. only disappointment was the breakfast. was expecting more variety though. overall was a good experience.
Hotel is next door to Batam Centre Ferry Terminal. Only shopping nearby is Megamall which is linked to the ferry terminal. Staff are friendly and speak English - some better than others. Rooms are big - can easily fit a third bed if needed. It would be great if there was an armchair in the room. Occasional whiff of sewerage in the bathroom.

Services are so-so, front office & operator unable to assist with the queries.
Failed to notify customer request as promised.
Unable to connect to WIFI for the rest of ours 4 days stay, and the IT man unable to rectify these problems.
Ours local guest ( non-diner) was charged for buffet lunch while at the cafe.

Convenient hotel at Batam Centre
Staff is super cheerful, friendly and helpful. Hotel location is just across Batam Centre ferry terminal and Megamall. However, there's no shuttle service provided if u bring small children or elderly that can't walk even for a 5-10 mins distance. Food spread for breakfast is limited and there's no towel provided at the pool area. There's no spa or other activity that I can see for the moment. Overall stay for my family is great as this is a newly opened hotel in Nov 2011.
