Tons of activities
Paid extra for a deluxe room with seaview/pool views, but as we were on the ground floor, could only see the sea/pool if I cranked my head to one side. The deluxe rooms do not have balconies, which I was very disappointed about. There are loads of activities within the complex, but you are charged for virtually everything - even playing a game of pool. I was very impressed with them having a 10 pin bowling alley and a mini zoo. The buffet breakfast was very disappointing, with food often being cold. The restaurants are very spread out, some even requiring the use of the courtesy bus, but the food was very good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Peaceful ..!
Spent 4 nights in the Nirwana resort hotel in a delux room with a sea or pool view when I arrived in the room My view was  the pool bar.! when I asked reception where the views were he said it's not actually a sea or pool view so be careful when booking you don't get a view..!
When we arrived in the room there were no bathrobes or towels took 3 hours to get towels and the same for the next 3 days never did  got bathrobes. The room was ok bed was comfy but the bathroom needs updating badly ..
The best place to eat is the Dino restaurant as it was all cooked in front of you and very fresh,it is quiet expensive to eat in the resort especially if you are with a family.
The pool is excellent, the beach is stunning to look at but beware of the black tar..also needs more sun beds on the beach..
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly ..
Lovely place to be if you like peace and quiet and good value for money..

Bintan
We booked a deluxe room and weren't impressed. Quality of fittings require upgrade to have a phrase such as deluxe. Damp smell in the room. We complained and had to pay for an upgrade. They were pleasant in trying to resolve but when you are on a remote island there is not a great deal of choice on the door step to just leave and find somewhere of better quality. Breakfast food OK but a bit repetitive. Beach and sea good. Pool great and the activities and shopping attached is of very good quality

Nirwana Gardens - Bintan
We've stayed here a few times, love the proximity to a stunning beach where you can swim and see fish etc. Pool as great too, lots of restaurants, and the new Japanese place is really good.

Room is clean, the prices for food and drinks is the same as Singapore, a lot of mosquitoes, don't forget your Baygon!

We had spent one night for city escape at Nirwana Resort Hotel, Bintan. Here are some of my comments:- Location: convenient, it takes only 10 min shuttle from the ferry pier and no confirmation is required if you travel on Sat. However, ferry ticket should be booked and arrive at the Singapore side pier for at least 1hr30min in advance. Quality of room: highly recommended the Delux type. We just added S30 for upgraded room and we enjoyed the double-sized room with nice seaview & garden view. Hotel facilities: the freestyle pool was nice. Just one compliant that the Jacuzzi operates from 10am to 6pm, but the pool opens until 8pm!? Hotel Beach: the beach is just in front of the hotel area and it looks like the private beach for the hotel. Excellent white and fine sand with crystal clear water! Memorable. Food: expensive, same price as in Singapore food court. Resort activities: Spa & Massage is highly recommended at the Resort Centre, but still, booking is suggested when you arrive the hotel. We originally planned to see the night lightflies but the tour was full. Overall we enjoyed the stay in Nirwana Resort Hotel very much.

The Nirwana Beach Resort is undoubtedly a family friendly resort, the service was friendly and helpful. If I am to complain, here it goes; we had no new towels (while old ones had been taken) on day 3, the service at Kelong was so bad we left before ordering food (too the restaurant managers credit he came and apologised for the wait we experienced getting our menu's after being seated and then lack of follow up order), the toilets in our room weren't cleaned and neither were the glasses we used. On the plus side, the food and ambience at Dino's was good. Spice was bland, both food and ambience. The amount of garbage on the beach beyond that covered by the "beach cleaners" at Nirwana is quite disappointing - I would expect more care to be taken of the beaches when that is one of the major benefits over somewhere like Singapore.

Very relaxing. Great pool and a good range of restaurants. If your a wine drinker suggest you bring some duty free from the airport - Singapore/Bintan wine prices excessive.
