The hotel was overall okay
Since its on the other part of the island you should prepare $ 2,5 for Cidomo
The room was bungalow style with traditional accent, the room itself was nice and clean with water heater working properly
The restaurant serves great food, a little bit expensive compared to other places in Gili Air. Nonetheless the taste was delicious though. It also include a mini bar that provides you with alcohol drinks.
The employees was very friendly as usual. They also accommodate you to snorkel, diving and other water activities.
Too bad the pool wasnt that clean, lots of leaves on the water.

Standard hotel, perfect location
The stay was nice. The hotel is in the nicest beach of Gili Air and has facilities on the beach that other hotels/areas of the island don't have. Overall a nice stay.
Only inconveniances are the frequent electric power cuts (on all the island) and the salty water from the tap (on all the island). The room was nice and comfortabble, with AC in bedroom and living room.
There is a nice spot for snorkelling just in front of the hotel beach about 30 meters in the sea (you can see all the boats that bring tourists for snorkelling).
There are plenty of restaurants near, so we never stayed for dinner in the hotel.

island holiday
A pleasant place to stay. rooms and service were good, but lighting not designed for readers. A downlight or two and a couple of 18W energy lamps would be great. Everything worked - air con, hot water. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good but varied from night to night. A couple more lessons on pizza making needed. Seafood nasi goreng needs to be more than two slices of squid. Breakfast good, but take your own muesli! Cost of meals was reasonable, but the extra 21% tax did not apply to all restaurants in the area, and 3% added to the credit card. TV needed to have at least one international news channel, apart from Italian. The island experience was excellent, no noise apart from the lapping waves, no traffic apart from ponies, no speakers at 4.30am. This was not the party end of the island, and was very peaceful. Pool maintenance was excellent. Gardens could do with some work.

For what was described as a DELUXE room, this was a long way from reality. The room itself was filthy and many of the fittings falling apart. The roof leaked consistently during any rain and despite the $20 rate reduction after our complaints, I still find it way over priced for what they were delivering.

The big buisiness of formers in toilet when arrived. Stinky, poor garden with a lot of garbage whereelse u was watching. Nonsense to Price/quality-service!!! 60$ for a night. Changed hotel with cheaper price and much better conditions!

This hotel is the oldest on Gili...
This hotel is the oldest on Gili Air and it's age shows. The grounds are not well kept, the swimming pool a disgrace and even semi open smelly drain near our room and directly behind the main eating area. The standard aircon room was I think one of two left over from the old days, being a small, dingy part of a brick/concrete bungalow comprised of two rooms. Subsidence meant the room was bent and doors did not open/close correctly, it was small and dark and there was also no security for valuables. We booked this room because for this hotel the rate given by Asiarooms was cheap and it was airconditioned. However it seems that in fact a simple fan cooled room or a more expensive bungalow would have been a better choice. Our room was something like an old dilapidated homestay that should've cost more like 10 bucks a night, not any where near the price we paid (which was much less than the actual asking price, thank god). We could not even sit outside our room of an evening because it was close to the meal preparation area and restaurant toilets which discharged waste into a semi open drain that stank of the old days in Indonesia. I know that the more expensive bungalows were much much better as we looked at them but could not change to due to being booked out. Still, to me the rates are excessive and better value can be had by searching the island upon arrival as there were many newly constructed homestays not mentioned in travel guides o r advertised on the web.

We had a lovely stay. The staff...
We had a lovely stay. The staff were exceptional. Always happy smiling and very friendly and helpful and happy. We were met by Api at reception and he was a wonderful contact person for our stay. He made us feel very welcome and valued as hotel guests. He is a wonderful ambassador for his workplace. We thought the hotel was ideally situated on a nice quiet part of the island where you could sit and sip your cocktail of an evening at the sunset bar and watch the sunset as the waves lapped at the shore. It is very atmospheric.... we had our evening meal at the hotel which was unbelievably fresh and succulent BBQue seafood...it was delicious! My only complaint was that the towels were shabby and so in need of an upgrade. It is nice to have decent towels at your hotel.

It's not any more what it used...
It's not any more what it used to be: no more beautiful Lombok style rooms with fan because they have been "upgrated" with plaster on the walls instead of bamboo, and the lovely outside bathrooms have been covered. New furnitures are of a heavy style too. Why did they have to change those very nice rooms???? Too bad. The food isn't as good too. Mr Owner please: give us back the lovely rooms you had!!! And if you want to make profitable improvements: just water your garden and clean around the swimming pool. Waiting for this... better to go to another place to find lovely bungalows with nice surroundings.
