Great modern design, great atmosphere, very friendly staff, great breakfast. We will stay there again for sure. Alila is our favorite hotel in Jakarta.

Alila is an absolutely minimal hotel. Tip top service. A lot of varieties of tv channel.Nice bed and pillow.Breakfast is simple.

Perfect! it was wounderfull- nice design, friendly staff! i think people who are looking for a relaxed place in jakarta and a special hotel, not like other chain hotels are absolutly right at alia! all the service you need, was available: pool, gym, helpfull front office staff and an amazing breakfast! better than in some five star hotels.

I loved the fact that the Alila...
I loved the fact that the Alila hotel is minimalistic.  While the location threw us off a bit, we still enjoyed our stay at this hotel.  As for the room, though a bit small, it's enough room for 2 people.  Most of the furnishings in the room are functional and not merely decorative ornaments.  The bathroom was fine.  Plenty of channels to watch as you unwind at the end of they day.  Overall, the room is  very well appointed and the out of the 7 hotels we stayed at all throughout Asia, Alila's bed, pillows, and down comforter were the best (and the softest!).  All of the staff were very attentive and gracious and made sure we any problems we had were addressed right away.  The breakfast they serve caters more towards their Asian guests and if you are finicky with your food, you can always just settle for a bowl of cereal or an assortment of different pastries. I wouldn't think twice about staying at this hotel again should I come back to Jakarta.

It's such a fresh concept, at least...
It's such a fresh concept, at least in Jakarta. Alila Hotel can't be recommended for backpackers or stereotypical tourists. You won't find much cultural references here in this hotel, but it sure is a unique hotel which deserves a try. And oh, for the A2 club well it's more aimed at the younger crowds and reading the previous review I'm sure the person doesn't seem to understand what he/she is getting into. I recommend staying home and watching TV, or maybe one has such a high taste that it's hard to please.

During my stayed at this hotel was...
During my stayed at this hotel was suck, I really disappointed because I had never order anything from their "bad taste" restaurant and one night I got the room service came with bunch of food and juice and asked me to pay. oh its really not comfortable. And when i went down to the club called a2 oh.. only God knows that it was full of drugs and so many girls and boys just fallen down to the floor. Finally the next day I checked out and asked my self Is it a four star hotel ?

The Alila is a new hotel in...
The Alila is a new hotel in a contemporary design. Its decor is a combination of minimalist and Zen style with a rocky garden and simple but cozy waiting and dining areas. Although located in Central Jakarta, finding the hotel is not easy because it is somewhat secluded, but most taxi drivers know where it is. Rooms are well furnished in a minimalist fashion with dark wooden floors, but they are small. All have a view of the city with some facing the Presidential Palace. Finding a quiet room is however a real challenge as the hotel is surrounded by two large mosques. Their suites are both quieter and bigger. The hotel has a full spa with private massage rooms with showers, a well equipped gym, and a health bar. There is only one restaurant but it has a wide selection of surprisingly good food at very reasonable prices. If you want to get away from the usual heavily decorated hotels, Alila Jakarta is a good option.

The hotel is indeed one of the...
The hotel is indeed one of the city's trendiest. We chose to stay in Club Suite which is very spacious with paronamic views from floor to ceiling glass windows. We checked out the the deluxe room at Grand Hyatt and found that it's becoming run-down. Surprisingly, deluxe room at Grand Hyatt is even more expensive than club suite of Alila Hotel. In addition, rate secured by asia-hotels.com includes ABF for 2, 1-way transfer from aiport to hotel, free internet access in-room, VCD player with pioneer sound system. What more could we ask for? Outdoor pool, mybodygym facilities are great. A massage retreat is recommended....it's where you find peace in this crowded and unpredictable city.
