best holiday for family
Nice hotels and very competitive price and well recommended for any travellers
Old building without renovations
The condition of bathroom is very bad, the shower water tap is almost broken down, the drawer is very dirty and the door is hard to close.
The blanket and pillow case is not white anymore (yellow) and look dirty.
There is a hole on the sofa because of the cigarette.
The window and the door to the balcony is very dusty and the color of that dust is really black.
After all the building is old already and it seems there is no renovations at all and the price is expensive for that poor quality.

No regrets
This apartment style accommodation didn't turn out to be as bad as some reviews have mentioned previously.
My cousins and I arrived at 1pm and were warmly welcomed by the staff. It was the first time my 2 guy cousins aged 19 and 21, and myself, 20, had planned and gone a trip without our parents or their help. We were rather prepared to be seen and treated like a bunch of inexperienced teenagers but to my surprise, this didn't happen at all.
At the counter, I had problems with my debit card and had to use my cousin's card to pay for the hotel charges. A deposit had to be made and we decided to use my card for the deposit only. We took awhile to settle the payment, and during this process, the service staff was very patient and explained to us everything we were in doubt about. She was flexible with the billing methods and treated us respectfully.
The hotel corridors to the rooms did smell a bit smoky, but our suite did not have a trace of smoke and was clean and decent. The beds were comfy and we also did not have any problems with the bathroom. No leakages or damaged showerheads.
Whenever the front desk called our room at night, they would first apologise for "disturbing at this hour". Very polite.
On our last night, we asked to rent a dvd player. 2 service crew came up to our room to fix the player for us.
The front desk service staff were also very well-informed amongst one another. The different matters that we told the front desk about was communicated well to the staff of the other shifts.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay in Grand Tropic Suites and it was very worth the money we paid for. Not to mention it is a short walking distance from Ciputra Mall and Central Park Mall, which had sogo and a variety of shops and food & beverage restaurants.

The hotel in general is good. the location is near the high way so it is difficult to reach because of traffic jam. i stayed in a Business Suite. The apartment looks bit old and furniture is not new. whats good about the apartment is the kitchenette but it will cost you 75 000 for the stove.there are 3 shopping malls nearby. Bluebird taxis are available in hotel. There is a mini-market but is very expensive.
Air conditioner is hot n room is dirty
We have a nice & pleasant stay at this hotel during 18-22 Nov 2010 at suites 807. Staffs was very helpful beyond our expectation. Thumb-up !!! Nice food too. I would for sure come back again & recommend this hotel to my fellow Singaporean friends back home...
