Will not stay here again!
First impression towards this hotel is good. Until i open my room, i thought they are offering me a japanese concept room. Because the bed is too low and the mattress i think already age more than 10 years. When we lay on the bed, i can feel the coil! Only 2+1 pillows provided. Extra pillow request needs to pay. Same goes to the mini bar. It locked. If i want it unlock, i need to put Rp300,000 as security deposit. The bathroom also very small n narrow. We have to open the tab or a few minutes before can take our bath. According to the maintenance guy, the hot tab pressure is more than cold one. That is why we need to wait a few minutes untl the water not too hot. The water quality also quite bad. It is in yellow color.
Bad experience
Our family of two adults and two children aged 8 and 11 had a terrible experience at this hotel. The room was dirty and the service was average. The toilet is one of the tiniest I have ever seen. We had to pay to get into Ancol Park because the AsiaRoom voucher was not officially recognised as a hotel stay and at the reception the person in charge told us there was not refund. After reasoning out, he actually told us he could give us three vouchers to get the refund and that seemed to be the normal practive. After that everything went downhill, the TV and aerial was not plugged in and because we didnt know we thought it was spoilt, the refrigerator broke down, the kettle could not boil and the safe box did not work. THe latter three were due to faulty electronics. They were quite prompt in fixing them though. The hotel did not have any maps to help us navigate around Ancol Park which is a huge place. The experience did not meet our expectations of the Mercure brand.

That hotel was horror..room all most, dirty and a little small bug around the table. I stay there one night but only sleep no more then 3 hours.. never never go back there. don't know why they have 4 stars .....

we had a good time stay at this hotel,have variaties of breakfast and the view very nice,but what we want complained is about the mosquitos all around the bath room and room even in the food( buffet ),need sanititasion repaired.

Nice hotel and location if you wants...
Nice hotel and location if you wants to go to ancol seaworld,iceworld, taman impian,beach, golf club.Not far by Taxi from chempaka mas shopping area,Taman anggerik mall and mangga dua.Its the road traffic which make its worse. you need transportation where ever you are in Jakarta.
Alot of eating places within walking distance such as Bandar Jakarta seafood rest, A&W, can be found within walking distance around the hotel but depends on our appetite.
The buffet breakfast in the hotel- reasonable.
Water from the tap not clean- brownish colour, so dont drink water from the tap even after you boil it.
Nice lobby area.
If the hotel can provide shuttle bus/van for the hotel guest to go from the hotel to area within ancol will be good.

This hotel is set in nice surroundings but is a long way from the City centre which is a problem given that the roads are always very busy.
However, the hotel itself is of a very high standard with nice friendly and helpful staff who speak good English.
The choice and standard of the food is excellent as is the standard of the hotel sevices that were provided.
I highly recommend this hotel.

brough my family for 3 days, perfect place to stay with family a few days before going on shopping spree in jakarta city. very nice hotel, an strategically localted. I have already recommeded this hotel to many jakarta-bound friends. will definately stay there again.
