Arrived 20 mins past the 23.00 hours....
Arrived 20 mins past the 23.00 hours. Was informed the standard room I booked through you is fully booked and they apparently upgrade my room to Deluxe at no extra charge!.....Eager to get a room secured at such a late hour, I just nod and nod. After some paper work, the reception enquire whether I want to pay cash or card. Since I had a few million INR with me, I said I pay cash instead of using my credit card as earlier booked!
I was quoted 330k INR and was issued a receipt for the payment. I just pay and eagerly moved into my room on the 7th floor with my luggage unaided. No bell boy?
Well, you saved on tips, right? since it is a budget hotel?
Managed to open my room door with my key card after a hard trying time. Was greeted with a dark room...no electric power...Managed to push and keep the room door ajar to let my corridor lights in my very dimmed room and located my room telephone. I dial zero and complain no power when they answered. Immediately the electricity came on!
When I checked with them later, the reception told me they forget to switch on the master switch at the ground reception!
After settleing down after a quick shower, I did some mental calculaton on what I have paid...330k INR. I realised I overpaid considering one (1) USD is equal to approx 9025 INR. so for USD31.00 which I have originally booked through you, should be NOT more than 298K INR? i.e. the reception says the rate is no extra???
I immediately went down to the reception and did my complaint. They replied they did not overcharge me. They work out the foreign exchange as 10k INR to one (1) USD so USD33 is 330K INR. They showed me the rack rates price list which are very very much higher...
I kept my silence and tell myself ...it is Indonesia, better let them be correct or I end up without a room else at such a late hour already!
I could not sleep very well...while overall the room looks minimalist tolerable and clean, unlike earlier the earlier reviewa, Honestly, to me the Air conditioning is hopeless!.
The reception does not have air conditioning in operation..I was informed they off it because it is already late..well well!
The bathroom shower has no water pressure so I did not enjoy a good shower I am used to. You get 2 small bottles of drinking water complimetary and unexpectingly they also provide a tube of shower shampoo, soap and disposible tooth brush!! Maybe, it is Deluxe room?
After all this, I believe they deserve a slightly improved rating...a better rating if they could repair the shower water pressure and serviced the room air conditioning to be more cooling!!!!!!!!!!!!
