Older Hotel that keeps current!
I have stayed here a few times. Nicely located near the world's largest shopping complex, it saves you the time of travelling elsewhere (the Jakarta traffic is very near gridlock and going anywhere requires a minimum of an hour!). The room amenities are definately getting old and tired (old fashioned tube TV, wierd plug arrangements, cups but no mugs etc) but the management makes sure that you are recognized for past patronage (staff remember your name even after several years) and they make sure you have complementary high speed internet. The breaksfasts are standard fare and wireless is available throughout the facility. It is a better bargain than all the 5 star hotels within walking distance. I certainly recommend this place if you plant to be in Jakarta for several days or weeks.
Location is very convenient, walking distance to a few shopping malls. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful too. The room was rather old (I guess the hotel has been there for a long time), but it was clean and comfortable, I felt at home very much. And yes, I will stay there again if I have another opportunity to go to Jakarta :-)
