Value for money
The hotel inspite of being old, they can be considered above average in maintainence.
Hotel staff are friendly, rooms are decent size, clean. Internet is a big problem if they
want to attract business travellers. No Internet in the rooms and supposedly having WiFi
connections that is yet to be working properly.
For non smokers, you got to get use to the Indonesian cloves cigarette odour.
Even in the non smoking floor. The Airconditioning is good but you still get the cigarette odour
around.
Food need to be improved. I would say local dishes are average but on others the hotel need to
really employ some better Chefs.
On location, traffic is very, very bad if you have meeting especially in
Sudirman or Kuningan area, so as an advice leave early no matter what.
Yes quite easy excess to Airport, that's about the consolation with regards to location.
My rating I would give 3.8 / 6 on the average.

The tap in the toilet was not secured properly and the plug for the TV was exposed to live current.

On arrival to our room we had a letter from the manager ensuring cleanliness, comfort etc..
The room was Ok ish bed comfy and sheets clean, however bathroom could be cleaner, light switches a nightmare to navigate in the dark. The breakfast was awful, i love indonesian food but this was cold, the breakfast area felt dirty, tables not cleaned. Oh and no covers on the chairs by the hotel pool, the hotel having a pool was the reason i chose this hotel.
We booked through asia rooms quoted price in dollars,the hotel wanted to charge us extra dollars than quoted due to their poor exchange rate !!!
Hotel Sentral
Do not be fool by the name Sentral Hotel , its definitely not central at all to financial district and the city. Front desk staff with an attitude.I actually left my travelling adaptor in Jakarta office as such need one to charge my handphone and my laptop. Sadly this big hotel do not have any adaptor. From house keeping who could not understand English to front desk staff who are not willing to help. Even convenient store beside the hotel do not sell any travelling adaptor. Worse I have to travel to the city to purchase one.
