Our stay was really plesant, lovley presentaion, helpfull friendly staff and the area is really nice and quiet(although it was the off season). The staff were helpful, the services like scooter hire and local boat for snorkelling were cheaper from the hotel than outside. Thefood and service was great and the whole experience was just wonderful. I would have no problems recommending the Tannis Villa
Good hotel
we spent a few days on the island at this hotel and was very well the island is great.
at the hotel the service is great, the rooms and the garden is in very good condition.
two complaints we had with them was that there is no way to clean towels, the rooms never changed and the pool I do not know how to not wash that were filthy.
massage service, I recommend you to go to the end of the beach at another hotel cheaper and better. I left my middle of my massage to give to another couple and his explanation is to earn more money by doing two massages while only one. I was angry and went to another spa.

Depressing
I have to say this accomodation was in urgent need of upgrading / replacing.It was dated, depressing, basically left behind in the 1970s.We were shown other more expensive rooms when we complained,but we found these to be in the same condition.Because of the location we found it easier to stay for the 3 nights than move. It was by far the worst place we stayed during our 3 week holiday in indonesia. We could'nt wait to move.
We had less expensive rooms that were far nicer,much better value for money in fact. Come on asia rooms get your act toghether ,this reflects badly on you.
Nice stay great gardens
Had four nights in a Deluxe Bungalow and loved it.
The gardens were nice with the many day beds and swimming pool very good.
Aircon and fan worked well as did the bed net at keeping out any mosquitoes.
Rooms were cleaned daily but they need a few extra pool towels.
There was n TV but we didnt miss it at all.
After looking around mushroom bay at other hotels i was pleased I chose Tanis Villas and think its great value for money given the area its in.
They have a second swimming pool under construction but this didnt spoil anything and works went almost unnoticed,the second pool will be complete in July and is closer to the beach with a swim up bar and decking out front almost on the beach.
The outside bathrooms were ok but they will be adding a small roof over the toilets to all bungalows this year which is needed as i found out one early morning during a heavy down pour,using the toilet with an umbrella was not as much fun as it sounds.
Being a small island you cant really expect what you get on the mainland with everything bar fish seaweed and chickens having to be ferried in but they do a very good job of making you comfortable and happy. As we were.
Overall I enjoyed my stay at Tanis and would stay again without a problem as the plus aspects outweigh any negatives by a lot.

stayed at tanis villas
great location, mushroom bay is a gorgeous little area and a great place to base a holiday in lembongan island. the food could have been a bit better but the drinks, service, pool, room and cleanliness were all great.
Good, but some key improvements needed!
The good:

The bad:
Walking over a sewage outlet to get to the hotel. This was really quite awful and as there were no other entrances from the beach, if the tide's in there is no other option other than to wade through a substantial amount of sewage which looks and smells foul. It's a shame as it lets the place down significantly - if the management read this, do something about it, urgently!!
The towels also stank, smelt like they'd been washed with cheese/sea water. They were reluctant to change towels when asked.
I'd have also thought they'd have offered to pick us up from our boat drop off point (they did mention they'd have done this once we'd arrived, but it was little use then!)

Not very good money for value, the location is not perfect : it s the only hotel that is not on the beach and the view is poor. Nice room though but bathroom charmless.

Fantastic hotel, very good value for money, the rooms were very exotic and the staff eager to please, which was a pleasant suprise compared to other places we stayed in and around Bali.

WOW! what a magical place! We had a 2 bedroom air condition villa, which was 2 adjoining rooms - but it was massive, clean and more than comfortable - not that we spent much time in the room. I know some people complained about the bathrooms, but I thought the outdoor toilet/shower/bath were great - looking up at the stars as you take a shower! The location was fabulous, the staff bent over backwards and did somersaults too just to please us - a big THANK YOU to all! The pool and day bed were a must, and great massages too! The complimentary breakfast was not a huge selection, pineapple pancakes were delicious, other items available off menu + cheap! Meals were and drinks were cheap and other restaurants nearby. Thanks to Kadak for all the boat and surf trips. The staff at Tanis were *FANTASTIC* and made our stay special. We are already planning to return next year.

I stayed here for four days with my 4 teenage to adult children. We were greeted in a very casual fashion after a long day getting there. I do not believe our rooms were fully ready and they had not organised a spare bed for the third person in the room. It ended up being a thin mattress on the floor!
The meals and internet access were very overpriced as was our accommodation. I believe the owners to be guilty of profiteering.
Most of the staff appeared slightly sullen apart from a notable few who were delightful.
I was very disappointed as I had previous happy memories of staying elsewhere on Nusa Lembongan.
