Santosa - a good choice in Senggigi
We stayed here in transit to another destination, and were glad we chose Santosa. Although the room was a little dated/worn, it was nonetheless very pleasant, quiet and in a great location, and for the price we paid, good value for money. The entrance and grounds to the resort are beautiful, the facilities very good, and the location excellent. We experienced nothing short of great service from check in to check out, and would certainly stay there again.
Lovely gardens. Top Location
The location of Santosa Villas is probably the best in Senggigi.
It is right on the beach.The beach is nice for a walk or to watch the sunset but the sand a bit coarse for sunbaking .
Outside to the left and right on Jalan Senggigi Raya are lots of bars , cafes and retaurants with live music.
The landscaping of the resort is very relaxing with lots of trees and gardens. The outstanding feature is a huge clean swimming pool , one of the best hotel pools I have seen.During the day only a few people using it
The rooms were comfortable and clean.The complimentary soaps and shampoos were a bit disappointing.The buffet breakfast was average with a limited selection .
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a lovely resort and I would return

We had a very relaxing five days at Santosa - beautiful pool and grounds - friendly and efficient staff. Santosa is centrally located for all the attractions of Sengiggi.
Santosa Villas - Lombok - Review
Booked a double room for 7 nights at the end of July 2011 via Asia Rooms and thought it was a decent rate based on the information of hotel on various websites. I was very dissappointed with the accomodation for the following reasons:-
1. Room was dated. Furniture is atleast 20 years old. TV not flat screen and satellite reception on most channels was were poor.
2. Sewer smell coming from the bathroom. Shower curtains were dirty and look liked it had not been replaced for years.
3. Rats walking around the corridors in the middle of the night. My room was on the third floor of the main building and close to their store room.
4. I was covered in mite bites on most mornings and asked the hotel to clean my bed sheets after 3 days and to replace the mattress. They did this but i think they replaced the mattress with an even older one so the bites did not stop!
5. The walkways between the main reception building and the main accommodation building was poorly lit at night time. So much so that on a couple of occasions i stubbed my toes against the paving slabs!
6. Breakfast - this was ok but not a good selection of warm food. Fried chicken or fried fish (on alternate days), noodles or plain rice. No selection of cereals (just cornflakes). Certainly no muesli. After 3 days i had breakfast in the local cafe as was fed up with the same selection.
On the plus side :-
1. Staff were very polite and friendly and helpful.
2. Swimming pool and gardens were immaculate.
3. Nice beach front and close to the main Senggigi strip where all the restaurants and night life was.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very basic and didnt accomodate 4 people even though when I booked it said it slept 4!! Breakfast was good and the pool was awesome.
The tower rooms are not good at all....bathrooms are old and worn and rooms very small for a family. The staff did eventually upgrade us for free but it took a while for them to understand the issue. The deluxe cottage room we moved to was much better and not that much mote expensive so dont bother with the standard rooms. Breakfast not that great but staff by pool very friendly and lots of games etc available to entertain young children plus good size swimming pool. Would stay again as good value for money
Super Staff
The quality of staff at Santosa makes this place very special. Everyone was 'genuinely' friendly, courteous and helpful. It made our stay all the more enjoyable.
We loved the outside grounds and pool, the numerous places to sit and enjoy the gardens.
Excellent value for money. Close to local village restaurants. Great cocktails and happy hours.
Would stay again.
good quality
It is a hotel with decent quality and friendly staff. Right at the beach and good location to the main street. Abit lack of charactor but nice and secure to stay at.
We stayed one night at the Santosa just to spoil ourselfs. We'ved stayed in Senggigi a number of times before, but always at very basic and cheap places. So when we saw the super deal we booked one night. My expectations might be a little to high, as the room we stayed in was nice, but not as nice as I had imagined. It's apperantly one of the older room.
The possitives where. Nice location with garden sea view, the shower was the best shower I ever had (don't need a massage after taking a shower anymore). The bed was very nice and the sheets where clean. Complimentary water (4 bottles). It's very quiet, as there is no bungalows in front of you.
The negatives where. The rooms are old. The toiletbowl was very old (they've build the shower recently, which make the construction a bit weird). No water for cleaning at the toilet. You could hear the neighbours a bit too good (especially in the toilet). The room service is too expensive and no wine list.
Over all the pool at the Santosa is fantastic and you have it most of the time just for you and maybe 5 other guest alone. I loved the breakfast buffet. Couldn't stop eating. The staff is very nice. I like the entrance and welcome drink, makes you feel special. It's central and right on the beach with beautifull sunsets.
At the end it might be worth spending a bit more money so we could have stayed in the Deluxe Suite, which looked very nice.
