The hotel is nice enough, good facilities but food and beverages are overpriced for the low quality. A quick walk down the beach and you will find nicer hotels with restarants that serve much better food for the same price.
Service: the room cleaners were the nicest of the lot, always friendly. Our rooms were tidied on time (once the bed was made up with flowers picked from the garden with what looked like a lot of care, nice touch). Few problems with trying to make external phone calls which the operator/front desk could not seem to rectify, frustrations grew about that.
Upon leaving to catch the boat back to Bali, we called a cab which never came. As the time got closer to when the boat would be departing, we had to plead and insist that we needed them to take us there in a hotel car. We were told 'no, too busy' several times despite only two cars arriving in the 30 mins we waited before one of the valet/drivers agreed... When we got to the port we were told it would be 125000 rupiah, a nasty shock considering the short ride.
As an employee of a customer service improvment company I was not impressed with the way this situation was dealt with.
