Stayed at the Holiday Resort in August...
Stayed at the Holiday Resort in August - and found most comments are pretty accurate. Right at the beach, beautiful pool and landscaped garden, but the hotel's best asset are the staff - they'll make sure you feel happy.
We had an oceanview room on the second floor at the right wing of the hotel. Looking at the sunset, sitting on your balcony with a nice glass of wine, can hardly be beaten!
The rooms at the left wing have a bit poorer view due to the restaurant roof and some other obstacles. A lucky draw for us, I suppose.
As mentioned in other reviews, the bathroom is spacious and clean, but really tired. The stone sinktop was broken in the middle en very poorly 'glued' together again. Furthermore, in an attempt to recondition the bathroom the hotel painted all walltiles...but years later the result is that I've been in 2* and 3* accomodations with bathrooms that exceeded this one by far!
The breakfast buffet is nice & well organized - despite the hotel being full we never had to wait long for a table.
The restaurants are convenient, but compared with others in Senggigi not so cheap. Per head for diner rp 100-110k, excl drinks.
Senggigi is however only a couple of minutes away by taxi, and a lot of restaurants offer a free shuttle service.
All in all an enjoyable stay - and for the price per night paid (usd 80) good value for money.
