The Kuta area and beach was one...
The Kuta area and beach was one of the dirtiest places I have seen in a long time. Packs of dogs are everywhere in the most horrible of conditions. People and children everywhere are begging for money. This hotel was at the end of the beach as the Novetel is on the other side of the beach strip. To eat your breakfast there, you will encounter a huge number of flies that Kuta as a problem with. There will be at least 50 flies on you and your table. The staff says they can do nothing about it. The electricity in kuta is constantly off and on. The staff say that they can do nothing about it. I had power perhaps for 5 hours the 24 hours I was there. The bathroom was dark and depressing with no hot water. It seems to be a place for the surfers to shack up at four at a time. I highly DO NOT recommend Kuta or this hotel.

Kuta Indah has air con avaliable in a few of their deluxe rooms. I stayed in one in 06. Stayed in economy room in 04. If mossies are a problem then burn a coil. Simple. No it's not 5 star. And no it's probable not for someone who requires pampering. Works for me though.
This hotel is fine for the budget...
This hotel is fine for the budget hardcore traveller but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone else.
The rooms are not airconditioned (which is a necessity in Lombok) and are filled with Mosquitoes. The pool area is very nice and the staff are friendly but that's about it.
I would rather pay more and stay down the road at The Novotel Hotel.
