Grand Sakura Review
This hotels furniture and room was elegant but sadly it is not supported with good human resources.
The service for room boy, receptionist and readiness of food in the restaurant was very poor and it is really needed development on human resources of the hotel. i.e: how to communicate with guest hotel etc.

Good place to stay
The executive rooms are in very good condition, unfortunately the deluxe room is less satisfactory as the room condition is very much poorer and no kettle is being provided, make our life with baby is so miserable. Another disappointment, every inter-room call made must be through the operator, thus less convenience. There was also no power plug adapter readily available at request.
It also seems like there is miscommunication between the front desks staffs and the customer relation officer. We we checking out on the 5th Feb. afternoon, but we require only one of the room for extended check-out to around 7 to 8 pm. There was already an email stating that we shall stay in one of the same room at deluxe rate, but instead we ended up having to check out from all the 3 rooms, check in into a deluxe room. as the front desk personnel were not in the informed by the booking staffs.

No transport to airport
Upon checking-in we made payment at travel counter for transport to airport but it did not arrive.After showing the voucher the receptionist return our money and had to wait 20 minutes before we could get a taxi.

Some reception staff had difficulty using English but others were very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful but catered strongly for an Indonesian clientele, so choice was limited for Western tastes.

Professionality
My grading above based on the bad experience I faced during my stay in the hotel. I was called and waken-up at 2 am during my 3rd night stay in the hotel. I was informed by hotel personnel mentioning that my payment of Rp720,000 is only for 2 nights and the 3rd night I have to pay Rp360,000 and need to settle/sign some document to show my agreement. It was a nightmare for my family and since I could not sleep, I went down to grab internet to recheck my booking document via AsiaRoom.com to see any error in my booking. Finally I found the document and I showed to the hotel personnel at reception desk to inform my booking was 3 nights as in the document. He said since the case was logged we need to settle the case after 7 am in the morning. In fact I had shown the same booking document to the receptionist and the discussion was for 3 nights. Even it was mentioned that probably AsiaRoom.com may make mistake & I had to settle with AsiaRoom. The whole night I could not sleep and my mind always wander if the case has to be settled by additional payment. At about 10 am before my check-out I made an enquiry and the hotel make an apology with ambiguous explanation. Anyway I felt a bit relief and thanks God but still felt my vacation was a bit spoiled. We wish the hotel to be more professional in all aspects especially when handling their customers and involving various institutions.

Superb!
Upon walking into the lobby, the first word to come to mind is 'impressive." Although it's only rated 3-stars, the lobby definitely is 5-stars. The room was very clean, with a new, flat-screen TV, and the service was very attentive. They offer free wi-fi and computers for internet access in the lobby and a fairly decent breakfast. It's not in the city center, but it's location is close enough to most sites of interest. If I ever go back to Medan, I'll definitely stay here again. Great deal, highly-recommended.

Noisy
I'm staying at 3rd floor; 2nd Floor is Karaoke room.It's really noisy,I called receptionist and they told me that their business hour until 2 a.m morning. I have to wait until business hour over and go sleep.Really disappointed.Will never go back to stay at that hotel.

Newly renovated rooms
We booked 2 rooms and were upgraded to executive rooms upon arrival. Very big rooms . Staffs at reception do not understand English very well. Quite difficult for tourist who don't speak their language.Otherwise value for money.
