The hotel is located right next to Borobodur site, which allows excellent access to the site. Entry fees to Borobodur are included in the room price. There is a good view of the temple form the dining area.
The hotel is situated in extensive well maintained gardens.
The staff were helpful, and friendly. The rooms clean, with air con.
Highly reccomended. I would happily stay here again.

We arrived at the hotel on a Monday evening. We were hoping to see the sunset on Borobodur but didn't feel like paying the additional money. Instead we walked around the grounds of Borobodur - it was so peaceful and quiet! Such a privilege to be within the grounds of Borobodur after all the tourists had gone home! In the morning we decided to again forego the extra fee for sunrise and showed up at 6 am (with the ticket included with the hotel price). The sun was still coming up and the vista was unbelievable! The hotel was worth it just for that sight! We were very impressed with our stay, mostly for the location, but the food and service were great as well!

We arrived very late and they were most accomodating bringing us hot tea. Perfect for beating the crowds to Borobudar and quickly getting there for the sunrise viewing. Very lean accomodations re rooms but breakfast included was nice. Very helpful staff. Wouldn't stay anywhere else if going there again.

For the price i paid, i was expecting a very basic and run down guesthouse kind of place. I was hence very surprised to find that the place is somewhat like a resort, clean, and certainly was above my expectations. They had the standard welcome drink and snack.
Best part is that it is within borobudur compounds, and room rates are inclusive of borobudur entrance. The room rates also include a half hour video presentation on "lessons from borobudur". Sunrise tour at borobudur is charged separately at 115,000Rp per person.
Breakfast included in room rate is buffet style with pretty limited choices. But you shouldn't expect gourmet food with a price like this. The restaurant in the hotel serves decent local food. The resident cats keep you company throughout dinner! Prices are also inclusive of taxes (quite significant as taxes are 21% in indonesia!)
Service was excellent, the reception managed to find me a local guide for borobudur within minutes.
Certainly a splendid place to spend the night, especially if all you are looking for is to go for the borobudur sunrise tour.

The temple is within walking distance, only minutes away. Stay there if you want to see the sunrise ...
