Pleasant stay
We stayed at this hotel for just one night and found it really a good hotel.
Especially, their hospitality and service was one of the best in Indonesia.
I ordered a flower bouquet and cake for my partner's birthday surprise and they arranged them perfectly. Thank you so much for your kind assistance, Miko and Agung!
We also arranged a car through this hotel and found the driver was excellent. He was so attentive and helpful, which made our trip to the city of Jogjakarta and Borobudur very pleasant.
I will surely recommend this hotel to my friends visiting Jogjakarta!!

This review was written by an American who has lived in Jakarta for over a year. The d'Omah hotel is located a little south of Yogyakarta in a small village. Our group of 4 were very pleased with our 3-night stay. The hotel grounds were amazing-a group of old houses that had been renovated and moved to the site, interspersed with several pools fed by spring water. There was a lot of common areas to relax and enjoy the scenery, it was definitely an oasis. The spa was quite good, as was the 'health club' althoug it was outdoors so those people who are not accustomed to the heat may want to go in the morning or evening. The restaurant had the typical Indonesian standards but prepared better than most places. We ate there for most of our meals on this stay and did not get bored with the selection. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We arrived late and they kept the restaurant open for us and made sure we had a nice meal. The hotel is accessible to the major tourist attractions in the area but you will need a car to get to them. You can rent a car for a whole day at a reasonable rate; the hotel can arrange this for you. However Borobodur is about 90 minutes away so if you want to go there for the sunrise you will have to get up ridiculously early. We visited Borobudur later in the day, as well as the Sultan's Palace, the bird market, the spice market, and Prambanan Temple. The area around the hotel is a traditional village and there are a few rice paddies. It was good for a little jalan-jalan (stroll) and to see local life. The Tembi handicraft area is very close by and worth a few minutes of time to visit. This is not a typical chain hotel, it is a true boutique hotel so if you want something different this is a good place to try. The only downside was the close proximity to a pair of mosques, the call to prayer can interrupt your sleep for a half hour in the morning if you are not used to it.
