In Umbria, the green heart of Italy, with its mountains, hills, secular hermitages, rivers and streams that crisscross the woods and the valleys, just 2km from Lake Trasimeno in the green countryside where woods remain intact, sits an old farmhouse that has been completely restructured and turned into an 8 apartment farmhouse with a bar/reception area. Its name is the Farmhouse Lanterna Rossa, and it is open all year so that you can enjoy relaxing holidays any time you desire.
Your pets are welcome to enjoy the gardens and the woods too! There is a playground for children and a picnic area, and the surrounding countryside hosts an organic farm, a deep blue lake and swimming pool. During your stay you can also enjoy breakfast at the bar, which is open all day.
The Farmhouse Lanterna Rossa has 8 apartments spread over two storeys. Some of these are communicating apartments for larger famiglies or groups. All of the units have private bathrooms, shower, hairdryer, TV, a fully equipped cooking corner and large sofa-bed. They have also been decorated with tree designs in the living room/kitchen area and floral designs in the bedrooms, making for a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The upper floor apartments have lofts that guests can use as they please, and all units have heating and air conditioning. The views are marvellous from all of the units: giving onto the hills or the tiny hamlets, like Panicale and Paciano, that dot the area. You can even see Assisi’s Mount Subasio in the distance.
The apartments can be moved into from 4 pm on the day of arrival, and must be freed by 10 am of the day of departure.
