Please note: The City of Florence has a special control system (ZTL) for accessing the historic centre.

The boundaries of the ZTL (restricted traffic zone) are marked by special road signs and have a series of “access points” which are controlled by cameras that automatically detect the number plates of all the vehicles passing through.

Among the numerous “access points” there are some (those reserved exclusively for public transport and emergency vehicles) that are prohibited at all times, 24/7.

To reach our hotel guests in cars need to travel within the ZTL.

To do so they can obtain a temporary access permit to pass through the authorised “access points.”

In order transit in the ZTL without getting a fine, guests must give the number plate of their car to the hotel reception, who will immediately forward this information to the appropriate offices.

Please note that this procedure does not authorise unlimited parking or other types of stops inside the ZTL.

This permit will be issued for a maximum of two hours for baggage transport purposes and, therefore, only on the arrival and departure dates.

During their stay, guests must park their car outside the ZTL or leave it in a commercial car park with a discount agreement for guests or other similar solutions.
