In the vicinities, many archaeological remains can be visited, all of them belonging to the nuragic era and to the middle ages. Luogosanto is rich with history: the Basilica dedicated to “Nostra Signora di Luogosanto,” for example, was built in the Twelfth century; Dolmens and Domus de Janas dating back to the prenuragic and nuragic eras can be found too, as well as the remains of two medieval castles, such as “Castello di Balbu”.
