LA CASALA, MASSA CARRARA  

Directions

By car.

Take the A12 Parma / La Spezia until the exit “ Aulla”.

Then, go towards Fivizzano, before getting there take the right exit and follow the signs for Gassano and/or Equi Terme.

5 kilometres after Gassano but before the junction for Equi terme, take the small road up the hill.

Keep on for 1500 metres to the hamlet of La Casala.

Whoever chooses not to take the motorway can explore the lunigianese territory by taking the secondary road n° 62 Cisa (Parma- Sarzana) to Aulla.

From there go towards Fivizzano as explained above.

Coming from Reggio Emilia, go through the pass of Ceretto on the secondary road n° 63 of Ceretto (Reggio Emilia- Aulla) on which you’ll find the junction for Gassano/ Equi Terme .

Then follow the indications above.

By train.

Get on at the station of Parma and /or La Spezia on the Pontremolese line up to the station of Aulla.

From there get the train towards Lucca which links Lunigiana with Garfagnana and stops at the station of Gragnola.
