Ever since its inauguration way back in 1863, The Grand Hotel et de Milan has been the residence of personalities of national and international renown - Maria Callas, Rudolf Nureyev, Luchino Visconti, Ernest Hemingway, Enrico Caruso and many others, including the famous Guiseppe Verdi, who stayed at the hotel for several years while he composed some of his operas.
The Grand Hotel et de Milan is located right in the centre of the city, opposite via Montenapoleone with its elegant boutiques, a short walk from La Scala and the Cathedral.
In 1993 a renovation for conservation was needed to restore the monumental parts and make the necessary technological adjustments to recreate the original splendour of the Grand Hotel Et De Milan. Preserving the old charm of a noble nineteeth-century milanese residence the hotel offers 2 elegant and comfortable restaurants the caruso restaurant in memory of the first recording of this famous Tenor Done Here at The Hotel the ideal place to have lunch whether it be for business or pleasure. In summer months The Restaurant welcomes guests with a delicious buffet and wheather permitting you can have lunch on the outdoor terrace on piazzett Croce Rossa the intimate atmosphere and decor of the second restaurant the Don Carlos named after Verdis Opera make it an ideal Venue for evening meals.
