The first Spa of Montalcino in the evocative setting of a medieval fortress: the Castello di Velona - Tuscan Resort & Spa reopens its doors to the public after an extensive three-year work of expansion. The hot springs found during the renovations have allowed the creation of a beautiful Spa. A total of 46 rooms and suites and a new restaurant with panoramic terrace from which to enjoy the sunset over the Val d'Orcia. Not only that, all 19 new rooms and suites are equipped with the thermal water in the bathroom. A unique and magical place for those who wish well-being and relaxation, for art and history lovers and for those who love great wines. A special attention to the great Brunello di Montalcino that the winery Castello di Velona produces in its 32 hectares of land, together with a surprising Rosso di Montalcino and a precious olive oil.
The Spa of the Castello offers a unique wellness experience: 2 outdoor swimming pools (one pool is set with jacuzzi seats only) and 1 indoor, 6 treatment rooms, 1 cabin for couple treatments, hammam and sauna, emotional showers. In addition, a wide range of treatments, from massages and facials to body scrubs and wraps, made using natural local products such as grapes and olive oil.

The 46 units of the Castello are elegantly furnished with antiques, fabrics and materials. The style of the “Castle” rooms is warm and cozy: wooden beams, vaulted ceilings, tiled floors and large decorative fireplaces. The 19 new rooms and suites feature a contemporary line and the presence of precious materials such as travertine.
All rooms overlook the impressive view of the Val d 'Orcia and the vineyards surrounding the Castello di Velona - Tuscan Resort & Spa.

The flavors of traditional Tuscan recipes and Italian regional cuisine are innovated by the refined touch of our young Chef. The Teverna "Il Vignone", a country but comfortable atmosphere; breakfast is serve on its terrace in the summer. "The Abbey" gourmet restaurant set in the new wing of the castle, which overlooks a panoramic terrace from where it is possible to enjoy the sunset. The cloister of the ancient castle, now covered by a glass dome, a lounge area where guests can relax under a beautiful starry landscape.
