Completely restructured in 2006, the hotel now offers all modern comforts, including a　comfortable sitting room with fire place , whilst still maintaining its historic features, as original wood beams and cotto floor. The property is surrounded by a large garden of cypresses where during the sunny season breakfast and delights snacks are served. During your stay you can relax in the property’s private garden, complete with swimming pool, and enjoy yourself of the beautiful　 and peaceful landscape. From 2010 all clients can enjoy their staying with typical dinner together with our wines. Country house Il Castagnolo　being only few　kms away from the　medieval centre of San Gimignano is an　ideal base for visiting　the surroundings , Siena 35 kms,　Volterra 30 kms, Florence is 50 kms
