Castle of Selvole is in the heart of Chianti, near Vagliagli, and yet only 12 km from Siena (20 minutes by car), an ideal location for visiting the nearby spots like Firenze, San Gimignano and Pienza. This was where one of the battlegrounds of he war between Siena and Florence in the middle ages. Its agritouristic complex located only 200 metres from the winery, consists of three groups of stone farmhouses that have been converted into 21 self-catering apartments (named Geranio, Margherita and Ginestra, all names of flowers). At the centre is a big swimming pool overlooking the vineyards and olive trees where the guests can swim while they enjoy the tranquility and the scenic beauty of the Tuscan countryside. The apartments come mainly in two sizes, an apartment with a double bedroom, bathroom, living/kitchen with double sofabed (for two to four persons), or a bigger one with two double bedrooms, bathroom, living/kitchen with double sofabed ( for four to six persons). Each one has his own private space with a parasol, table and chairs. Clean linens are provided and changed for guests staying more than a week.
