DIRECTIONS FROM CATANIA AIRPORT

THE CAR HIRE DESKS ARE NOT IN THE AIRPORT TERMINAL – leave the terminal, turn right and you will see a low white building over to your left across a car/bus park.

Once you have your car:
• Exit the car hire car park – here you must turn RIGHT
• Take the left hand fork in the road at the next junction
• You will come to a SMALL ROUNDABOUT – go straight on
• Then the road turns to the right and you will come to another ROUNDABOUT – go straight ahead as the road leads uphill
• Stay in the LEFT HAND LANE and take the road which forks to the LEFT, signposted SIRACUSA, MESSINA
• Follow this road for approx 3km, then take the slip road on your RIGHT, signposted A18
• You are on the TANGENZIALE which leads directly to the A18 AUTOSTRADA (direction MESSINA)

TO ENTER THE A18 YOU MUST PASS THROUGH A TOLLGATE – PRESS THE RED BUTTON AND TAKE THE TICKET (AVOID TELEPASS LANES) – AFTER APPROX 30 MINUTES’ DRIVE YOU WILL REACH THE EXIT FOR TAORMINA – TOLL PAYABLE AT EXIT €1,60.

ONCE THROUGH THE TOLLGATE AT TAORMINA, TAKE THE ROAD GOING UPHILL – FOLLOW SIGNS FOR CENTRO AND THEN CASTELMOLA.

VILLA ANGELA IS ON THE ROAD UP TO CASTELMOLA WHICH IS CALLED VIA LEONARDO DA VINCI, POSITIONED JUST BELOW THE CROSS ON THE HILLSIDE AT MADONNA DELLA ROCCA.

THE HOTEL HAS A SMALL CAR PARK FOR GUESTS WHICH IS FREE OF CHARGE.

As a precaution, when travelling by car always keep handbags/valuables out of sight and lock doors when in city centres.

Italian law dictates that you must keep headlights on whilst driving on motorways, even during the day.
