The LONDRA PALACE offers 53 rooms in Biedermeier style, each one different from the others, featuring elegant upholstery, brocades and marble bathrooms. Each room is unique: views of St. Mark’s Basin and the Lagoon are on one side, and the rooftops and bell towers of Venice’s historic centre on the other.
Each space at the LONDRA PALACE was designed to instil emotions and a sense of wellbeing in guests. The bright, renovated sitting rooms on the ground floor dialogue with the outside through the transparency of the glass, which bears the memory of Petr Il’lc Tchaikovsky’s stay at the hotel. The veranda on the Riva degli Schiavoni is an ideal place to sip one of the delightful cocktails prepared
by the barmen, enjoy lunch or dinner, have tea, or simply relax.
A stay in room 106 offers a taste of history. Here, in December 1877, the Russian composer Petr Il’lc Tchaikovsky, wrote the first three movements of Symphony no. 4, originally entitled “DO LEONI”. Some other famous guests of the hotel include Gabriele D’Annunzio, who
stayed here in 1887 and attended the unveiling of the monument in front of the Hotel, built in honour of King Vittorio Emanuele II, and the writers Jorge Luis Borges and Iosif Brodskij, recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature. read more
