Following is a list of public and private (water taxi) connections between the local Marco Polo Airport in Tessera and the city of Venice:
Public transport:
1) ALILAGUNA motorboats connect the airport to Mark’s Square.

Boats depart every 60 min¬utes, the average journey is also 60 minutes.

(golden line: Airport – Mark / Royal Gardens).

Tickets are available at the airport.

2) ACTV bus No.

5 departs every 30 minutes to Venice (Piazzale Roma car terminal).

Buses leave from the platforms right outside the airport terminal.

By car:
Leave the motorway and follow the Venezia – Piazzale Roma (car terminal) sign.

You can leave your car at one of the parking facilities in Piazzale Roma.

Take a water taxi or a vaporetto boat to the hotel.

either line 2 (seasonal) or line 1 towards Lido, and get down in VALLARESSO (St.

Mark).

Boats to Mark’s Square depart every 10 min, the average journey is 40 min along the Grand Canal; boats depart every 20 mins after 9 pm.

The N(Night) line is available after 12.

By train:
Take a train to Venice Santa Lucia.

Water taxis and vaporetto boat landings can be found along the canal right out of the train station.

Vaporetto boats: you can take either line 2 (seasonal) or line 1 towards Lido, and get down in VALLARESSO (St Mark).

When in St.

Mark’s Square facing the Basilica, move to your left towards the Procuratie Vecchie.

Follow the portico and take the Sotoportego dei Dai.

Cross the little bridge and walk on into the next alley, and on again into the following alley (Calle dei Fabbri).
