Hotel Sugicho @ Kyoto

Our brief stay at Hotel Sugicho Kyoto was a great experience for my family. Its accessibility to train stations was a good selling point for choosing Hotel Sugicho. The front desk staff were accommodating. They even gave us student discounts for my children.
The ryokan experience was fun. My son had fun trying their public bath. The place is so near the Kyoto Palace.... a quiet walk brought us to the palace/temple area.
Best of all... we found a Neko Cafe so near the hotel... that capped our wonderful stay at Kyoto.

Hotel Sugicho

The room was a different experience for me and my friend. The room was nice, clean and well appointed but the A/C was not working properly on the first night but we informed the front desk and it was fixed. The front desk staff spoke English and that was a big help. The hotel was close to a subway stop, shopping, City Hall and Nijo Castle. We were able to catch the city bus to other historical sites. Kyoto is a beautiful city and would recommend a visit to Kyoto.

Great Ryokan

Nice spacous tatami rooms. enclosed wet compartment. centrally located, within walking distance of the "old town" were the restaurants and the nightlive are. reasonable price: who could ask for more?
