"This was a great hotel. One of..."
This was a great hotel. One of the best I've been to, New Otani never fails to impress. Excellent service from checkin to checkout and extremely professional staff. Getting to the hotel from Shinkansen at Shin-Osaka means a transfer on the metro so a taxi is the better option if you have a lot of luggage. Don't count on escalators. The taxi ride will cost you around 2500 yen. The nearby subway st. just 100-150 meters from the hotel takes you anywhere in the city in minutes and a map of the area as well as a subway map is available at the reception. Around Shinsaibashi and Namba is where you'll find most of the shopping area. The famous Osaka Castle is less then 10 min walk from the hotel.

"We enjoyed our stay at New Otani...."
We enjoyed our stay at New Otani. We got upgrade to a bigger room and enjoyed the view of the castle. Staff was very friendly, helpful and they speak good English. The location of the
hotel is convenient, within a short walking distance to a JR loop station. However, the disadvantage is there isn't much restaurants or nightlife near the hotel.

"We stayed at the New Otani Osaka..."
We stayed at the New Otani Osaka for 2 nights. The location is great when travelling on JR - it's just beside the station. We had a wonderful view over Osaka castle, which is also very close. The room was quite big for Japanese standards. A very good experience overall!

"We used 4 nights here and enjoyed..."
We used 4 nights here and enjoyed so much. Even though the location is quite far from the entertainment area but not so difficult to approach anywhere by JR or subway train. It is also
very easy to visit the Osaka castle, just only a few minutes walk across the river, we would find one of the most beautiful places in Osaka. Furthermore, if we do not want to use the restaurants in hotel, there are many kinds of food up to our taste at the Osaka business park bulidings nearby the hotel. Finally, we have thought that this hotel is one of the best places for stay and were very impressed.

We had a complicated schedule and the hotel helped us adapt to the schedule. Staff were most professional and gracious. Only one negative, the high charge to use the pool and sauna.

"The hotel location is perfect right opposite..."
The hotel location is perfect right opposite the castle with a great view and location very close to the station osaka jocohen station which his only 10mins by train from Osaka station with his like
a termins for all trains the staff are very friendly and polite and provide all driections and assitance the breakfast provided by the hotel is great and would recommend when booking hotel rooms take breakfast as included as its definately worth it The only draw back i seen was the carpets in the hotel room i think they are badly stained and do not look clean at all and definately does not feel like that you are staying in a 5 start hotel room i do sincerly believe they need to change the carpets in the hotel room as they are badly stained and gives you a it of a creepy feeling, i did stay twice in the hotel in two differnt room numbers on two differnt floors and both hotel rooms had very badly stained and dirty carpets, this i think is a biggest drawback in staying in the hotel and i wish asia rooms would provide this feedback to the hotel besides that the hotel location staff and every thing else is a great place to stay and i too would definately return back to the stay.

"Excellent location & and we were given..."
Excellent location & and we were given a room facing the river & Osaka Castle. Easy access to the JR lines & Osaka subway. The restaurants are excellent but prices are higher but the food
is excellent. We would certainly stay there again if we got a good deal on the Asiarooms.com The best bit is that if you can get a deal with breakfast included & all paid for then you are onto a winner.
