Excellent and Friendly Hotel... Love it
This hotel location is very good for traveling. Also, it is easy to find due to the huge symbol.
All facilities here are over-expectation. I would come back and stay here again if I come to Osaka.

Convenient and comfortable
clean, convenient location, its good to have free bicycle rental so that i can shop around and buy many things with no worries. the receptionist can speak mandarin so that we can have better communciation about the transportation to the places. its really good and the location is near to the subway as well as the shopping area. Must stay there again next time to osaka.
A wonderful hotel stay
After the tiny room stay at Kyoto Ryokan, the hotel room in Dotonbori Hotel is considered huge! We were greeted very warmly at the reception, with the staff giving me a pack of cleansing foam, lotion etc, just for ladies only =). We were so relieved to see the size of hotel room even though we only took semi-double room. Room is clean; towels, face towels, hair dryer are provided. 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water are given every day. Bed is great; not too hard, not too soft. Free WiFi is provided in the room as well.
In the lobby, the hotel provides free international phone calls. What I love most is the free hot 7 cold drinks - coffee, green/red/oolong tea, water - at the lobby. Every morning and evening when we came back, we will surely get a cup.

This hotel was great and really made...
This hotel was great and really made our stay in Osaka - located a quick walk from the train station and right in Dotonbori, you cannot do any better. The staff is friendly, the rooms compact but a great value, very good internet access. Dotonbori is an experience, and this hotel is a great way to enjoy it. I strongly recommend it.

I have stayed at nine different hotels and inns during my 2 1/12 weeks visit to Japan have experience varied ambiance, amenities and services at a wide range of price point.
Value for valaue I would rank the Dotonbori Hotel high up there because it it was a winner location wise, uniqueness-wise, helpfulness of their website for just about everything especially giving you idea of places to visit,connecting routes and time estimates (really well thought out), the simplicity and logical set up of the rooms (even has air and clothes freshener) - no waste of space but everything is provided and laid out well, good internet in room, humidifier, pot boiler and fridge, the helpfulness of the front desk when asked for various help with getting to places etc, the good food at the breakfast buffet, the amenities - coin washer and dryer, detergent, ice, library, etc etc They have thought of everything and not chintzy about service and amenities (no nickel and diming you for every little thing). I really loved staying here and will definitely stay there again when I return.

The location of the hotel is simply great, perfect for those that want stay in the animated hearth of Osaka. Hotel is located, after all, in a quiet street, a short walking distance (3-4 min.) from Namba Metro Station, exit 15a. For those that come from Shin-Osaka JR Station, are only 15 minutes on subway. (Midoriguchi Line)
My single room was reasonable sized and very clean, with all amenities, ethernet cable for internet access included. Anyway, Internet access is available 24h/24 for free in the lounge (two computers with printer). Staff was gentle, helpful, and also english speaking. The included breakfast provided a reasonable selection of japanese and western food and was good quality.
I'm very satisfied of Dotonbori Hotel, and definitely I want to stay here again when I will come in Osaka again. Recommended.
A perfect place to stay if you...
A perfect place to stay if you want to explore Osaka. Extrememly friendly staff, doing really their best to speak English - they absolutely get credits for that! The location of the hotel is superb - you are in the center of the nightlife of Osaka - but also in 3 min walk from Namba station, one of the major hubs of the public transportaion system of Osaka.
The room itself is very reasonable in size - though you should not expect a footbal field there. A lots of extra's are included and changed/renewed every day. Breakfast comes in two flavours - European and Japanese ones. One thing that you must be aware of is the small size of the bathroom, especially if you are built larger than average people or have some physical disabilities. Other than that it is perfectly fine and super clean.
Oh yes, the non-smoking room was really non-smoking, something I've read to be different in other hotels.
To summarize - an excellent place to stay in the center of Osaka, not just somewhere at the outskirts

I've stayed at the Dotonbori Hotel twice and i absolutely like the price, staff, breakfast and location. The staff is very helpful, especially one gentleman who can speak English very well. They will hold your bags until check in time. The breakfast is a mixture of western and japanese food. The room is small, but clean and cozy. The location is a 2 min. walk from the subway station and near every main street. I would definitely stay there again!!
