Small but decent, convenient location.
For this price you can't complain. We booked the standard room but it was tiny! We got a shock when we saw the room coz it looked so much smaller than in the pictures. In the end we upgraded to a bigger one for 1,000 yen more per night, which was ok.
The room was still smaller than usual after the upgrade coz it is Japan. But I must say the room is very clean and well maintained. Bed and pillows were comfortable and water pressure was very good. Overall I am satisfied by their services and the staff there were very willing to help.
10 mins walk from the train station, but very easy to get lost at night.
One bad experience, not with hotel but with asiarooms. They didn't not send over my booking to the hotel so when we got there, the hotel couldn't find our record! This is really bad but luckily there were rooms still for us! Pissed!

Much better options in Tokyo around this price point
Although to be expected in a city such as Tokyo; the room is so small it is hard to function properly in it. The bathroom is a bizarre plastic add on, that smelt like drains.
Everything is obviously very old, there are holes in the carpets, scratches all over the furniture and is generally pretty shabby.
Also, the size of the hotel means that between certain hours in the day it is impossible to get in a lift that isn't already too full to the ground floor to get out of the hotel - one evening it took me 20 minutes of waiting!
On the plus side the service is very friendly; but business customers really should look elsewhere.

The rooms are little outdated but is in very close to shinjuku bars and restaraunts. One small problem if you do any organised day tour you will be the first picked up and the last to be droped off.

Get what you pay for.
I have stayed Shinjuku Washington mumerous times, at times in the Annex and main building. This time i had a single room it is type Japan business type room, can't swing a cat in there, just room for bed and small chair even my big suitcase could not lay on floor as no room to walk so left up ended.

Location is reasonable for access to Shinjuku...
Location is reasonable for access to Shinjuku shopping and nightlife areas, and well situated for business visitors. In a quiet street. Limo Bus from Narita stops at hotel, very useful. 10 minutes walk to Shinjuku station. Had a double room and triple room for family. Double was very small but well equipped. Windows did not open but AC was OK. As most of every day was spent away from hotel, size was not a problem. Triple room for teenage children was adequate size. Breakfast room has a good / interesting view over busines area and park. Buffet breakfast reasonable quality. A good base for exploring Shinjuku area.

Overall, the cleanliness and location is quite...
Overall, the cleanliness and location is quite good and acceptable. However, the room size is too small & also the bathroom space could be a little more generous. We have actually booked and request for a high floor room, but ended up on 10th level instead.

The room had a distinctive stale smoke...
The room had a distinctive stale smoke stench. In fact just sleeping for 1 night in the bed, my nightwear stunk of the stench. When I asked for an international adaptor, I was told I can buy it instead as the hotel do not provide it. I thought that's a pretty unfriendly practise. Another cheaper hotel in the vincinity provided the use of an adaptor free of charge.

This is one of the worst hotels...
This is one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed in, we stayed in the Annex Building and talk about horrific, we could hardly breath in the room it was so small and the bathroom was tiny and smelly, it was like the sewage was seeping through the water system. The window didn't open either so there was very little oxegen, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on around you. And its really expensive, we paid AUD $211 per night for this kip. I usually don't like complaining about places but this was ridiculous for the price. Location is good though, so i suppose it had one up side, but still i wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Maybe the other building is better but be sure your not staying in the Annex Building which they also call the new wing!!
