This is the second time that I have stayed at the hotel. Staffs are very courteous and well trained. Price however, is a little high as compared to others. Breakfast selection is not great but manageable.

Overall we enjoyed staying at the hotel very much.
One thing to improve big time is Breakfast. The lack of buffet for breakfast is a major deficiency for a hotel of this caliber.

1. Newly renovated in Feb 07! Looks very posh and more like a 5-star standard.
2. Direct, underpass, sheltered access to Shimbashi Station makes this a superbly located hotel for convenience to move around via the trains.

"We were amazed at the spacious room..."
We were amazed at the spacious room and bathroom considering that this is Japan! There was even a fabulous (separate) shower (and plenty of counter space). The coffee was really good and the restaurants covered
a range of menus and prices (all good and with good service). There is a park nearby and easy access to trains and subways - the best of both worlds. The airport limo/bus was the very best way to arrive and depart - having luggage handling and door-to-door service. The beds were great, superb decore, no smoke smell in a smoking room, great view over the trains with no noise, high tech toilet, super consierge - - - and on and on. The ONLY thing missing was a swimming pool and it is just across the street! The next stop (in Japan) we paid six hundred a night for a place that didn't even come close! Would we stay there again? ABSOLUTELY!

"This hotel is in the best location..."
This hotel is in the best location in Tokyo, by the Shimbashi Station, near all of the major train lines. It is only two stops from Tokyo Station, which makes it easy if you come
in from the airport on the express train. The airport limousine bus also stops here. The cleanliness and service are top notch. We received a special rate for arriving on Sunday night and the rate continued for our entire 6-day stay. There was no noise from adjoining rooms and no sound of water running in other bathrooms. The only noise we heard at all was the sound of the elevated commuter trains which start running about 5 a.m. It was not very loud and after the first night, we slept through it with no problem. If you are a swimmer, the hotel has an arrangement with the health club next door. The pool was large enough for lap swimming, but the water temperature was too hot. It was also expensive to use at 2100 yen per day. All in all, a great place to stay and my number one choice in Tokyo because of location, service and cleanliness.
