Small but easy.
The location is very strategic, close to subway station and airport limousine bus at Tokyo Excel Hotel, and taxi park near station.

Functional and clean
The rooms are tiny but all Tokyo hotels rooms in this price range are. Room is clean and functional. If you're doing Tokyo right you'll barely be there except to crash at the end of a big day anyway.
Overall very good value for money for the excellent location.

Nice simple Hotel
Hotel room was quite small but this is Tokyo so it was to be expected, located very centrally so convenient to get around the rest of Tokyo and literally 1 minute from the metro stop.
Japanese customer service is always exemplary and this was no exception.
Rooms cleaned daily as expected.

Reasonably priced. Almost all 3 & 4...
Reasonably priced. Almost all 3 & 4 star Japanese hotels are small & congested. The location is good. One of the reps at the front desk was helpful and we were lucky to get him at the right shift. He booked for us the Airport limo bus which only cost Y3000 compared to the taxi we took from airport to Hotel costing Y43000 for a 60km ride.Good if the hotel can arrange with tour operators for a ride to Disneyland and return. The trains to Disneyland was a little complicated but cheap. Cost us by train Y450 one way. Day tour not worth it Y9900 including lunch. Imperial palace not impressive. The temple - don't try your fortune - either "not so good" or "Bad fortune" so that you participate in the rituals to get out of your bad spell. Alot of walking and not recommended for elders.

While I knew the hotel room was...
While I knew the hotel room was going to be small after reading reviews of all hotels in Tokyo and past reviews from this hotel, I was amazed at how small it was actually. It was perfect though. The Tokyo Metro is key to getting around Tokyo and this location could not be any better. It's a 1 minute walk to the Akasaka-mitsuke station where two main lines are right there and 3 additional lines are easily accessible by a short walk within the Metro. When first coming to the hotel, look it up on Google maps and do a short street view tour. This will make everything so much easier when arriving. Also, when leaving the station, look for the Sotoburi-dori exit. Head out that exit and then you will know exactly where you are from the Google street view tour. It is a business district, but don't be fooled into thinking there's nowhere to eat. All the shops and restaurants stay open very late around the area and there are quite a few. When coming back to the hotel later there are still many Japanese business men and women walking around (usually a bit tipsy) so it adds a bit of excitement after being in all the very busy areas like Shibuya and Shinjuku. Also, a huge plus was having free internet in the room. The computer monitor is also your TV, so there's a keyboard and mouse already set up. Was great to look up something on the internet if I didn't know where to go or had a question about one of the things that I ate!! Would for sure come here again.

This hotel was the starting point for...
This hotel was the starting point for our Japan round trip and we enjoyed the hotel very much. For being the first time in Tokyo the hotel was perfect. The location is easily to find and many stores and restaurants are close by. We definitely recommend the hotel, even if the room was very small. The staff was very helpful and spoke and understood English well.
