This is a great little hotel in...
This is a great little hotel in the middle of the fun Akasaka district. It's spotlessly clean, modern, and the staff are very polite and helpful (although some have very little English language skill). The rooms are small, as you would expect from Tokyo, and mostly consist of twins rather than doubles - so avoid this hotel for romantic getaways! However, they're not excessively cramped. The bathrooms are frosted-glass partitions, so you'd need to know someone pretty well if you're sharing a room with them. However, the facilities are all excellent - good showers, all the usual accoutrements, and nice towels. All rooms have free Internet access and a kettle, with a few complimentary teabags provided. Free coffee is available in the foyer, but the machine was broken when I visited. In summary, this is a perfectly decent hotel, and I'd be quite happy to go back and stay there again.

The B Akasaka was a great hotel....
The B Akasaka was a great hotel. The staff were excellent, always said hello and on days when it was raining insisted on myself and friend to take hotels umbrellas. If i needed to know anything the staff at front desk told me. Although the room was small it was always clean(but who stays in there room all day while on vacation) and the bathroom was great. The only negative would be the steps you have to go up if you use the Akasaka subway stop. The 1000yen breakfast was excellent, Japanese or western. I can not fault this hotel especially for the price and i would definetly use again. Another point i must make although check-in was at 3pm i arrived at 11.30am and the staff gave me my room. Fantastic

The design of the hotel is modern...
The design of the hotel is modern and streamlined, very suitable for its small space. The room is small which is normal for Tokyo hotels and the furnitures and lightings are cleverly placed to maximised space (eg. frosted glass bathroom wall, twin bed flushed against the wall). Hotel staff was curteous and has good knowledge on information of Tokyo sights when asked. However, i was surprised that the chamber maids did not wash the cups we used in the morning when they cleaned our room. It happened in the adjoining room as well where my friend is staying. I'd probably not book this hotel again mainly because of the steep slope (or long flights of stairs) I've to climb to reach the hotel. It was very tiring, especially when we have to drag our luggages and a young kid in tow.

I loved my room. The walls...
I loved my room. The walls of the bathroom are frosted glass, but clear near the top, so when you are in the small room it feels as if the room is much larger. The shower is full of sprays, the robe is stylish, the shades block ALL the light. The only problem is the weather was warm and the heat was also on, so hot in the room. However the windows do open. The reception people are helpful, and the hot coffee is always going.

Nice business hotel but the location is not convenient for leisure travellers. From the nearest train station, you have to go up a steep slope or stairs before reaching the hotel. It is not recommended if you have heavy luggage.

This hotel was just what we needed...
This hotel was just what we needed plus more. It was extremely clean, no problems here at all. In terms of location, nothing in Tokyo is far from anything when you use the subway! We arrived in Tokyo late on a Monday night after a long flight and were a little concerned at first about finding the hotel and using the subway for the first time, but we had no problems. The rooms were perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free internet use and free coffee. Absolutely no complaints from us. We would definitely return.

This is a fantastic, modern affordable hotel...
This is a fantastic, modern affordable hotel in the heart of Tokyo, with easy access by subway to the best areas in Tokyo. The room we stayed in was really stylish and the facilities at the hotel made our stay really easy - coin operated laundries, free espresso coffee, and a 1000 Yen buffet breakfast which gave us plenty of fuel for our day of sightseeing ahead! I would definately recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there on my next trip to Tokyo.
